So I managed to get my GTA4 yesterday, I put it in my 360 and play for about an hour all I can say is this game is nothing short of amazing!! So I'm about 1.5hr into the game and the Infamous Ring of death starts BLinking !!! For those of you who don't know it is the 3 red blinking red lights on the system(Normally is supposed to be green). So I called xbox line had to talk to that stupid automated robot MAX for about 10 mins. Finally i get a real person, and also this is my third time calling them for the same problem, and the worst thing is that I don't play like a mad man, I just play ounce in a while so i don't think there should be any reason 4 this to keep happening. Anyways as I spoke to this guy he informs me that he is sorry 4 the inconvenience, BLah, blah, blahl; So after I give him the serial number in the back I expect for the same thing as usuall give him my info and than he will tell me they will send me a pre-paid box so I can send my unit to get it fixed for free, but that's not the case he tells me that since I called 5 months ago for the same prob they can't fix it for free casue there is only a 90 day warranty, SO I threwe a fucking fit and bitched the guy out!! I know it wasn't his fault but I couldnt help it Nways he tells me that If If pay $100 they will fix it and send it back to me As soon as they can. So my question is has eveyrone experienced this problem more than ounce, & do you think I should just buy the new x-box 360 elite or just pay the $100??? I'm so over my 360 all I can say is I should have bought a PS3 cause this shit is reidiculous!!! Oh yeah n the worst part is that I can't even play my fucking GTA4
Dat sux I had to borrow my girls lil bros 360, hope his system doesn't shit on me, cause this game is F****** Awesome... It sux that both the 360 n the original xbox have always given me problems, Good thing I can't say that about my SRT, never given me problems since Day 1(Knock on Wood)
my 1st gen box still works fine too. i never had problems with it except the disc read error
and thats because it was full of dust. An air can took care of that problem.
U guys r lucky! I got a bunch of Lemons as systems LOL, nways still haven't decided if I shoud just get the Xbox elite, I heard that they fixed the hardware n it doesn't tend to crash or f-up after long hrs of play.(That's what I heard, don't know if it's completley true though) So how r all of u finding the game???better, worse, please comment.
I bought mine a couple months after the 1st release, not one problem, never encountered the RROD, and i play it like u wouldnt believe, its on for a good part of the evening, i guess i'm just realy lucky
Mine has to be layed on its side.. if it sits upright it makes a horrible noise like a fucken cat is inside dying.. bah!
Oh that's happen to me b4 but only when there is a game inside while it's playing n u flip it on its' side or u stand it up, that shit will make a loud ass scratching sound n f-up ur game,(Fucked up my Call of Duty 3)that was my first lesson about not movind the system my first week with the 360 while it's playing the cd. Oh well Shit Happens
I'm on my third 360 now since release. That thing that they told you about them not warranting a 3ROD 360 after 90 days is utter bullshit. Every current 360 on the market is under warranty due to that issue from my understanding... like I said, I'm on my third warranty box.

That's what I said.... I don't know I think I had a noob on the phone that was helping me out cause he kept sttutering and putting me on hold for any little thing, i think I might call back n see if I speak to someone else, their prob going to tell me the same shit though.
