Microsoft and Turn 10 have just sent word that Forza Motorsport 3 has gone gold, with time to spare to spin enough disks for the game's European and North American launch on October 23 and 27, respectively. But the racing news doesn't end there, folks. A demo for the upcoming racing sim is heading to the Xbox Live Marketplace on September 24, featuring many of the latest iteration's enhancements.
The Forza 3 demo will feature the game's new cock-pit view, refined damage model, new rewind function and even allow players to pull barrel rolls around the full Camino Viejo circuit. Forza 3's September 24 demo includes five playable vehicles:
* 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
* 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro
* 2009 Ferrari California
* 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
* 2009 Mini John Cooper Works
And with a true competitive spirit, the demo will also support official leaderboards for gamers to compare their best lap times. Strap in, folks. This one is rounding its last corner before crossing store shelves.
wait... there was one company that charged for a demo.... Cant remember who it was and what game it was. Been so long ago. Did they ever come out with that game, whatever it was? I'm sure by now its already came out...

LOL.........I fucking knew this thread would turn this way. I love how they tout "it's free". Apparently 5 cars and 1 track is enough to appease 360 ball lickers. While I do wish Sony would hurry the hell up with GT5, trying to compare a 5 car/1 track Forza demo to GT Prologue is just stupid.
Man, we were doing so good for a while. Leave to 360 butt lovers to start up the shit again. Hey, how come the RRoD faithful haven't jumped into the WS thread yet?
Well I'm glad he posted it up, I probably wouldn't have known otherwise that there is a demo coming. Should be good stuff, I already got the game pre-ordered

of course we can't compare it. one demo is free and the game will be out a month later, and the other is $40 and the game has been delayed for 3 years.
face it... GT5 is the Duke Nukem Forever of racing titles.
Gran Turismo 5 will have more cars in it than every Forza game combined.
Comparing GT5 to Forza 3 is a joke. Don't get me wrong Forza 3 will be awesome but its can't hold a candle to GT5.
Polyphony Digital hast been working on GT PSP as well. Its not like they have one game like Turn 10 to dev for.
I didn't think they came out with an official car list of an official number of cars for GT5 yet? Can you send me the link for that cuz I couldn't find it when I looked. I was curious what cars they would have and how many compared to Forza 3 since I know Forza 3 has said it will have over 400 cars and I thought that was a lot.

The game will feature 1,000 vehicles (including 170 Premium new models), 60 total courses with 20 more to be revealed, a completely new physics simulation system with the benefit of damage representation, online play that features text/voice chat, private rooms, and even a YouTube replay output, a robust Photo Mode, the brand new Gran Turismo TV, and oh yeah, custom soundtracks!
Tracks: Around 80
Cars: 1000 (830 "regular" ones, 170 with a little more modelling, with their interiors responding to damage, etc)
Damage: Yup, there'll be damage
GTTV: GT's in-game TV show, GTTV, is back (it has Top Gear!), and this time can be ported over to your PSP
Amount of cars/tracks doesnt mean anything if its not fun..... Last GT wasnt worth playing for more than a couple hours. I HOPE this one will be better.
