and next week is good too... buy 1 get 1 on $20/under games

so,.. assuming there's some stuff you want for $20,.. $60 for $100 worth of games. not a bad deal when you combine them...

Also just an FYI... this game got pretty bad reviews on G4's X-play last night. 2/5.

They listed reasons why and they were valid reasons for a game... much like how Too Human was, great idea... poorly executed. Boss battles were hardly relevant to the story and were no more than mobs with high HP and immunity to some of your special attacks.

Some of the times you get to use the force power it just blows from what they said... and a lot of the guys didn't react with the physics engine... some guys don't even move when you're attacking them.

Just a small list. I'm sure some people will still find the game rather enjoyable and it does have a decent story from what they said. And I know that people are crazy for Star Wars so that should help with the sales. I'm not crazy about it, I like it... but I was going to get this game for what it was which seemed like an awesome game... but now I don't think I'll be getting it.

If you're a SW fan, pick it up. I'm on vaca this week and grabbed it at a local 24 Hour Wal-Mart because I had nothing better to do last night. Played 1/3 of the way through or so and I like it. Can be frustrating at times with camera positioning, but it's workable.

Oh, btw. One of the accomplishments you get early on in the game during the first level is hilarious.

So since you're already 1/3rd of the way through I'm going to assume this is another 1-day game?

Gamespot rated it 7.5 for the Xbox and PS3... but only 6.0 for the Wii. A lot of the issues seem to again be in polish... and I'm sure the game is still going to sell well simply because it is Star Wars.

I'm only guessing I'm a 1.3 of the way though. But I played for about 5 hours in total between last night and this morning. And I don't rush through games. I take my time and try to find the secrets before moving on. With the amount of eye pleasing graphics this game has, I can only assume it'll be shorter than most. But not so much you won't be able to enjoy the storyline.

Well do keep us posted... I'd be interested to see more personal reviews... however biased.

im pretty sure this *is* a pretty short game.. under 10 hours.

thats fine with me. i'll play through it this weekend and trade it on goozex for maximum value. i'm a huge star wars fan so that's the draw for me.

..i swung over to TRU at lunch and grabbed it. thankfully they had a bunch of them on the shelf, unlike when they had this same promo for Mario Galaxy

This is almost why I prefer old school games. It seems all you are paying for now is the graphics. I'm not saying all the new games coming out are bad, not by any means. But these games are rather short for the money you're paying for them. Sure... you can turn around and trade them or sell them or whatever, but that's just all that much extra work and what if you decide a few months down the road you wanna play it again?

It also seems that a lot of these games are missing something... whether it be some degree of polish or content. They are not bad games as a whole... but a few bad things can make a really good game just not all that great.

No no... I understood what you said and I know that it will be played regardless of bad reviews or what other people think because people are such die-hard fans of Star Wars.

I know a lot of people enjoyed the Demo (I have still yet to try it), and I know all the talk about the physics engine got people excited and so long as you don't read the bad reviews you might even find the game play rather enjoyable.

I think the main thing this game has going for it is the Story, many commented on the story as saying it was one of the ups of the game. For some that would be enough, but for other lesser Star Wars fans... the game might feel lacking.

Now... the 7.5's were from Gamespot's reviews... the User review was at like 8.7, but I find that hard to believe since the game wasn't even released until today, unless they played it all last night and rated it this morning.

What, you don't think X-play is credible? They are the ones that rated it 2 out of 5.
