chat on PC games - SRT Forums

Ok so how does the taking work on PC games same as xbox live or do you have to buy a service?

Most games enable you to chat with people with just your headset.

What I hate about online gaming with PCs is that there are a ton of fucking cheaters out there.

Punkbuster works, but some cheats get around it.

according to smoger and some others there are not relaly any cheating at all going on and that games update weekly or more so to keep hackers and cheaters away. Me and some others were worried about cheaters but was told that there is no more on PC then consoles which is just about 0

..and as for cheaters, most games run on punkbuster and will kick you from the game if it detects a cheat. it's updated very often.

Valve games use Valve Anti Cheat servers(most of them), which do the same,.. and ban the cheating accounts

You talking about Xfire? I've had it for quite a while now but never new there was voice chat lol.

yeah, it has voice chat.. heck.. its like the swiss army knife of pc games.. friend lists, voice chat, clan organization, screen recording, screenshots, instant messaging

I just never used it for more than ingame capable chat lol.

Steam(if you buy or use steam) has voice chat for most Valve games. As well as an overlay you can send IMs in. I am not sure how it works with non Vavle games bc I only ever bought vavle PC games thru steam.
