Default Can't decide: NFS Carbon or Midnight Club Los Angeles

it has been so long since i have played either game i can't even remember the differences in each one.

i remember staying at my buddies house till like 4AM just drag racing all of the cars on PS2 but i can't remember what game it was. i have a PS3 in my living room and one in my wife's Scion and i already have GT5 Prologue.

has anyone played any of these 2 games !?!? which one was more fun !?!? which one could you mod cars and paint them and shit !?!?!

and which one can you actually drag race in !?!?

If you are looking for something thats more drag racing oriented, try Need for Speed Pro Street. It doesnt have the open-world setting (some people like it, some dont) but the racing is better and more structured.

I had Carbon and still have MC:LA. Carbon seemed like it was Most Wanted, with a return to a night time setting. Kinda thrown together, i guess. Also, IIRC, there isnt and drag racing.

Midnight Club is cool, but it can be kind of a pain in the ass to get from race to race, cuz you have to drive there. There is no feature to go directly to it. And losing the cops can be a hassle as well.

I have heard that the newest NFS, Undercover, kind of blows. So i havent tried it yet. I just picked up Pro Street at Gamestop for $15 used, and i think its like $30 new.

let us know what you decide.

I have Midnight Club and its a pretty fun game. There are a few gripes about it though. Like the invincible light posts and the oncoming cars that you can barely see what exact lane theyre in whle in cockpit view. I dont know about the cops though. Ive lost them a few times (couple times weaving in and out of ramps on the highway) and once I just pulled over after going over the limit after a couple secs. They gave me a small fine cuz I pulled over.

Yeah, once you get far enough in the game, just hop on the freeway and roll till they give up. But in the beginning, they are kind of relentless.
