Videos/Photo editing, Streaming... I've heard this takes alot of ram?

$500 will get you a good CPU AND motherboard, but expect another $500 on everything else
Media editing requries less GPU power than people think. Gaming is another story

The only game I really play is World of warcraft, but I usually multibox 3-4 toons.
So $500 on CPU / Motherboard
$ on RAM
