Best PS3 Games

I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a PS3 today,...probably the 80gb so I can be PS2 backwards compatible. Plus, for the extra $100 I get the additional storage and Metal Gear 4.

Anyways,..what are some of the best games? I prefer FPS type games, although I'll definitely buy GT5 when it's released.

Call of Duty 4 was awesome. granted it's out on both consoles, but i normally don't like FPS type games and i enjoyed this one. couple others

Burnout - Paradise LOVE THIS ONE
GTA4
Rainbow Six - Vegas 2
Battlefield: Bad Company
Army of Two
Uncharted - Drake's Fortune

those are a few. i would say go to the PS store and download a game called Pain. it's a mindless game where you shoot a dude from a giant slingshot and make him hit all kinds of shit. its cheap (10 bucks i think) and is good for a few laughs, especially when you're drinking.

oh and i hear NHL 08 is pretty good.

Drakes fortune is a fun game and is beautiful as hell

I've heard alot about COD4 and Rainbow six. I've played some of the Burnout games in the past and wasn't very impressed, is there anything that makes Paradise better?

If Sony would just pull out Spider Man 3 and put in Drake's Fortune and put the dual shock 3 in the 40gb bundle and sell it for $400... I'd buy one today.

its better because there is actually shit to do. its a free roaming world which is nice. tons of cars, lots of gameplay value........even if you don't beat it, you will get hours of fun out of the game. online is weird, but still fun. the graphics are pretty nice, but seriously, the game is a ton of fun. at least rent it and give it a shot.

Warhawk, Uncharted, MGS4, Burnout Paradise is fun as all hell too, and Echochrome is a great puzzle game if you like puzzle games, user created levels are always being added.

nope.. that "price drop" is misleading.

it's not the 80gb dropping 100.. it's a new 80gb with the features of the 40gb.. so basically they're just increasing the storage on the 40gb.. dumb.
