Default Battlefield: BC demo

On xbox live, or where ever else it's available... Who has played it? What are you thoughts?

The multiplayer is pretty sick. The controls feel clunky compared to COD4, and it can be really hard to kill people. Drop a JDAM right next to guys, doesn't do anything. Though on that note the JDAM thing is awesome. But again, use the tanks and barrage people running on the ground and nothing - you basically have to get a direct hit with the tank to kill anyone. Spray people with the machine guns and it can be hard as hell to actually hit them. I guess it's like a way to balance things out, and doesn't necessarily take away from the game but it's a little too weak IMO. What's the point of having a tank if you can't destroy people. The howitzer is fun, if you get a chance to use it and someone doesn't kill you to get you off it. The choppers are fun too, hard to fly at first but once you get the controls it's awesome. Graphics are really good, I had to adjust my tv settings a lot different vs COD4 to get the best picture and once I did it looked better than my first impressions (LCD 1080P). One thing I'm not completely sold on is the sound. On one hand there are a lot of great sounds, on the other I don't like how it's done... Hard to explain, but it's like everything is far away...

Overall I've played the demo for hours and it's fun. I'm madly addicted to COD4 and it's hard to not compare the two. My thoughts are I wish COD4 had all the cool shit Battlefield has but with the look and feel of COD4.

they definitely need to correct the hit detection just a little bit but by making the tanks and heavy weapons very inaccurate takes away the noob factor to just running to a tank and mowing everyone down or getting a light machine gun and just sprayin and prayin. the few online matches i've played the teams never really got close enough to each other to judge the close range accuracy. I kind of preferred the sound, the weapons have a more distinct crack to them allowing you to tell which weapon was was being fired and the surround was better able to accurately depict where the shots were being fired from. I think Bad Company is going to give COD4 a run for its money as long as there aren't too many issues upon final release.
