Default 360 FPS and 720/1080?

ok so how many FPS does the 360 do for games 30?
also if most games are native 720p wouldn't it be better for me to leave the system set to 720 and not to the 1080 option?

I'm guessing the system upscales the game if you have it on a 1080P resolution

The difference is hard to tell anyway. Most of my Blu Rays are 1080P and sometimes if the feed is good it looks the same as Showtime

HDMI cable or the VGA upgrade cable. Then their is a screen option under the system "blade" (all the way to the right).
