Excellent Idea! I'm partial to Stevens Pass myself, it's my home mountain. I know it better than I know my own neighborhood! Go ahead and post interest now, but it will be up to the snowfall as to when this would happen. I already have my season pass, so I'm down to go anytime! Those of you that have never been or maybe gone only a few times are more than welcome to join. I will even give free lessons to those in our community. Just know that I may have to take off to the heavy ish for a minute or two though
I see this being a blast. I have never been to Stevens but planned on going this year. I am no good at boarding so anyone that doesnt like to get laughed at has no worries, everyone will laugh at me.
I also have access to half a dozen or more large inner tubes for people to use. Plan B does stevens have a inner tube area?
They use to have an inner tube area, but scrapped it a few years back. Not sure if it will be there this year. I will know by the time this happens though...
I crushed my miniscus (sp?) some years ago overshooting a tabletop by about 20 ft up at Stevens. Don't worry, the ski patrol is rather quick on the scene! Snowboarding isn't as bad for knee injuries as skiing is because both feet are always facing the same direction (less risk if twisting). We'll just have to make sure we go on a day that has some fresh snow so the 'landings' are nice and soft.
I'm in, sounds fun. am also old enough that ill probably hurt myself doing it
i was thinkin i would end up doing the same thing...but id be prone to doing something stupid like taking on a dare after ive been drinking...who cares though...a little pain never hurt anyone...i like it ...i guess i should go to class and see if i can hurt myself there lol
