After talking with the wife a bit and now that the SRT4C is her's and I get the neon... what should I do?
I have been thinking that we show car it? But what fun would that be. So drag car it, well that is what I have in mind but how far should I take it?
Should I kill the AC, PS and heater system?
Trans will not be an issue because we have most of the parts sitting here cyroed and dry film coated. I want to run a stick car because I like them. Auto will be later on down the road. I have the motor sitting here and the S362 BW is on its way. I have to swap over the intercooler piping to 3" (not a problem) and get the n2o hooke up and working. The only real hold up would be getting the car tuned and the dump exhaust ran on the car. I would also be dumping the antilock brake system to make room for the dump exhaust.
What to do what to do? I would have to EMS the car and get more fuel into the return line via dual pumps. I am not sure if the 4 AN return will be enough so that will have to change as well, up to a larger size.
I guess at this point, do we make a drag only car or make a killer street car that can take down some big players. The turbo is good for over 700 WHP but I may want more. I want some impressions of what you think we should do, thanks.
Sidewinder setup to see how it really does. Plus, that would look SICK with a 362, along with the whistle if it's anything compared to the 256, which I'm sure it is.
That is all. Mostly, I want the dual explanation. But the sidewinder setup would be sick as hell with numbers and track times on a 362.
And DEFINITELY dump all the stuff you don't need. PS, AC, Heater... eff em.

I say we get more of the beauty that's in Bitts' sig, but hey that's just me. Other than that I'd love to see rear wheel drive srt...not all wheel because of the power transfer issues if you snap a shaft. And with the torque these beauties love to toss out if you go high powered that's going to increase the chances of it happening. A buddy of mine told me about a co-worker of his w/ an STI. Everytime he runs down the track he snap 3/4 shafts before the end, tow it home replace shafts and repeat.
If I RWD anything its going to be the Caliber. Way easier to do.
So only one for a race car? Wife said I could do what ever I wanted but she is saying that she still wants to drive it from time to time, heater has to stay. PS and AC can go. Still looking at my options but the race car only may still have heat.
Have david help you build another local World Challenge SRT. Who knows, with a little track time and a couple of local sponsers, you might be able to get entered in a couple WC races in a couple years
