he is right if you have a honda, with the amount of torque these cars have you will not gain any "noticable" drop in ets or gain in power. get stage 1 and an AGP WG and call it a day. then go for a full 3" exhaust and a MAP clamp and tune it for 18psi and get ready for 280whp. ill help you do all this if you are local. i do alot of work on cars on the side.
PM me for more info!

a lot of people need to admit that they put on carbon fiber because they think it looks cool. if it doesnt match the car it looks like ass. sure it will save weight, but i think power is better than being trendy. listen to in10se & btw, i wonder where there is a 3" exhaust up for sale...

I'm all for weight redux. At 2650 lbs my car went 13.5 with a stock stage 0 motor and DRs.

Try a hawker battery - it'll save as much weight as a carbon fiber hood and @ less than 10% of the price. I'll give mine up cheap

matt saved 400 pounds HOW!!!!!!!!?????

he must have left the motor at home cause theres no way in fuck he got it down to 2600 without some SERIOUS mods. my car weight 2780 with no backseat, no pass seat, no trunk matting, a 13lb battery, no foglights, no additions to weight that i know of. it was about 1/2 tank of gas and me in it and it weighed right around 2940. matt i wanna know how you got it that light!

Not 400, just under 200, I think.

2650 w/o driver according to the truck scale on Mtn Highway(?) towards Ranier. I weigh 160.

removed:
front bumper support (fucking heavy)
carpet
rear seat & belts
package tray
spare
rear speakers
1/8 of a tank of gas

installed:
CF hood (didn't have this when I was Stage 0 though)
tractor battery
15" aluminum wheels
single tip exhaust.
toyo proxes t1-s (?) on the back. Really light tires.

Oh, I'm a dumbass. it was heavier than 2650, it was actually 2730 before removing the bumper support.

I found an old post that I made right after weighing it. I must have been thinking about the ACR's weight....

But still, that 200 lbs helped ET's a lot! 13.53 on 12lbs of boost.

well you can figure 100lbs=.1 off of your et so if you saved 200lbs then you were running .2 faster, the way i look at it though is you should run your car the way you drive it on the street because thats what counts

its much easier to make more power than lose weight. You might be able to drop an easy 50-100 lbs, but then it starts getting hard/expensive. Honda boys have to make their cars light as hell because face it, an NA 4 cylinder engine is hard to make power with. I wouldnt worry about weight reduction yet, I would get power mods first.

That pretty much is how I run it on the street Well, except for thr DRs and near empty tank of gas.

The rear seats only go in if I'm ecpecting to tote the kids somewhere. I've almost worn out my torx socket from in/uninstalling the seats & belts.

Man, what a way to take a thread off topic. Sorry.

Well i'm already getting your exhuast, and i'm getting the stage 1 just need to find a place that sells it cheaper than 375 so if i get your exhuast i won't be able to get the intake but i rather have the exhuast, i have an o2 housing that i tried to mate with the stock down pipe but was unseccesful. whats this map clamp i've heard of it but don't know what it is and how much is it i'm not all that rich ya know

i can get you stg 1 for 336 i think. let me know

MAP clamp=$80 plus tuning time, as far as intake its not really neccesary there arent any real gains, the stock intake is a great little device just get the drop in filter and go. the reason i switched to an intake is to free up space.
