Default What to do with Feb drive.

Ok here is the Bad News

Rainbow Falls State park is closed.

We can even get in for a brief stop because both bridges are gone.

So what to do?

these are my suggestions:

1. Make the same drive as always but dont stop at Rainbow Falls Park.

a) this would mean about a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Olympia to Raymond. Stop for snacks/lunch/gas then drive the rest of the way around to centralia about 1 hour 30 minutes.

2. Shorten down the drive.

a) Drive west to like Elma then southeast to rochester stop for lunch (approximately 1hour 15 minutes)

Well what do you guys think that plan on going?

Any other suggestions???

I hate to be like this, but I think a shorter drive would be better. Basically the reason is because if I drive at all 'spiritedly' then a 1:30 leg is going to be an entire tank of gas. Shorter drives with longer breaks are my preference.

Someone should call and find out if they will be up and running by Feb. I am too lazy to do it. How long does it take to build a bridge? Everyone could just bring a 2x4 and some nails and we would be good.

They have volunteers (anyone is welcome) coming late January to do clean up and other things but I think they are waiting until they get federal money before replacing bridges. I spoke with them and they said unlikely to be open by our date. They are aiming for re opening by the camping season (summer).

Zane either way I will be making this drive. I like the shorter with longer stops but if its raining then longer drive with shorter stops would be better. Either way I am game.
