Ok so the tow truck is driving my car back to my house now...If it is the clutch I need to order one soon...What are the NW guys thinkin huh? I can go for a strong clutch...Stop and go traffic isnt to bad for me...So maybe a street/strip clutch...I plan for 425whp-500whp....Remember I just bought the 50trim kit so im not made of money
Hmmm.... I seem to recall someone warning you about a 50trim on a stock clutch....Who was that...
I'd look into the South Bend Clutches. Aaronneon (Realtune) is doing a group buy right now, get in on it while you can! Just PM him with your setup and he will recommend the appropriate clutch.
HAHAHA i told you not to run it with the stock clutch you ftard! lmao Gravey im messing with you but I would look into a southbend unit thats what im gonna rock! Its a great clutch and driving coys stage 3 older version, compared to brian stage 3 the newer one is WAYYYYY better and alot less vibrations sorry coy LMAO.... Get the stage 4 or 5 tho if you think your gonna make that much power
Well there are people saying it could be the input shaft, clutch, or even the tranny...Im just going to pull the tranny off sunday and see whats up. Would have thought the axles would have sent before anything else did.
You screwed if its that dude then you have to pay for that to get fixed and might as well get a new clutch while down there the list is gonna keep going dude...

if its an input shaft .. make sure you get *the* replacement for it, none of this stock crap. The WC teams have decided to run stock clutch so they dont have to use the beefier input shaft. When I get this motor done i will be running a quartermaster twin disc with the beefy input shaft on both transimissions... then something else will break =] lol

D
The twin disks break the input shafts all the time. Unless you can get a billet unit from Nemo (several are still waiting) then stick with at traditional set up.
Several have ran into the 10's with the SBC stage 5x or you should take a look at the new high pressure units. We now have 1900, 2100 and 2300 lb pressure plates with steel flywheels. The stocker is 1700 lbs so anyone of these would be huge improvment over the standard units that we offer.

Well from what I was told people were not able to get it into any gear car running or off. This would not be a clutch issue, trans issue. Input shaft would still let you get the car into gear it just wouldn't move (car in gear and let clutch out... nothing). You can tell when the car goes into gear, if it doesn't go into any gear I would have to say selector broke.
Now the problem with this is the car will still normally go into one or 2 gears when this breaks, if that is not the case you have other problems. I would have to say that the trans locked up and you bought the boat on needing a new tranny.
I would start with the selector (pull top cover off trans) and then if nothing looks broke there its going to be tranny pull out time. Here is the problem with this. If you do pull the tranny then you should be doing the clutch and TOB fork at the same time. Now with all this money tied up in the clutch, TOB fork and trans you might as well get the LW flywheel and be done with it. Either way you are looking at $$$ to fix it and that just sucks.
