Ah OK. His screen name is "Joe r" but he rarely comes around here anymore.

If it's on with velcro or double sided tape, see if it has a label on the other side or see if it has some wires coming down the A pillars and see where they go.

Oh, it could be an extended antenna for an aftermarket alarm or LoJack.

Ya the wires go down near the pilar. havent followed them all the way, no #s on it that i can see anywhere. I was thinking LoJack or something along those lines as well, would be nice to know what though.

So you guys got me thinking, i searched for the brand of car alarm i actually have in my car, and it was the same alarm as when i bought the car. this is what i found.

Ungo/Remote Start

the only ungo alarms i found this antenna on are the remote start alarms? so now how do i find out which alarm i actually have and if it has remote start?

Oh and i have yet to be able to find the control box. I will have to pull my dash cover off, and look under that to see if its there...

It is unlikely you have remote start in a manual vehicle. Most shops won't do the install for liability concerns.

I actually found the box today. I have an SR5000 UNGO alarm WITH Remote Start. And lots of shops will install them providing you buy the neutral safety switch. and the required parts to make it safe.
