1. Live at home and save tell your 19
2. Travel the world on your savings for a year
3. Get home broke as shit
4. Get Job
5. Move out
6. Work full time + (at a job related to your future degree).
7. Go to school at night
8. work a 2nd job on the weekends
8. Get married
9. Ect
This was my life for a long time, only big downside is the 4 year degree ended up taking almost 6 years because I could only handle 2 classes at a time...
Only thing you miss out on is free time and sleep, works great though. You graduate and your already 5-6 years into your job field of choice.

If you get to see this man's current build (car, not body) and wife you will listen to what he has to say
True indeed, however; Newsweek had a compelling article a few years back, on the pros and cons of a minimum 4 year degree....lets say the ave. college tuition annually comes to 15k (just throwing anumber out there) multiply that times 4, so know your at 45k.....lets couple that with living expense at 1000 monthly, so know your at another 48k, leaving us a grand total of 92k.....couple that with the FOUR years you DID NOT WORK FULL TIME NOR DID YOU GAIN ANY ON THE JOB EXPERIENCE, that number is intagible but surely it IS substantial......now lets look at a job paying 11 an hour....lets say for the entire FOUR years you stay at 11 an hour, before taxes at 40 hours a week your looking at 84480......nearly breaking even with what you woulda been in the hole college wise (again, not including the time lost you COULD HAVE BEEN WORKING)......again, this number (84480) is based on staying at a steady 11 an hour......not saying college isn't a great route, but not always the way to go.....I imagine you are starting as an "apprentice" not sure what the cap is on that, but I imagine maxed out it is somewhat substantial....
The point is this, dont think that you HAVE to go to college to be succesful (financially, I make close to six figures and I'm still an A-hole ) Just have to be focused on what makes YOU happy, and become the best at whatever that is......
Also, the air force is not a bad route either, I wouldn't suggest to anyone to go in the Army or Mairines, or Navy for that matter, not that they're bad, there actually terrible (sorry COY, you know its true pal ) I joined in the 2001 before 9-11 and did my 6 years as an electrician.....got out and know work civil service for the Air Force on Mcchord....
Just do what makes you happy, but make sure you think LONG TERM and stay FOCUSED!!!
i would skip the mods on the car, skip the R6, and put most of your earnings into savings. what good is a fast car when you have no financial future? college is expensive and 11$ an hour into savings will help only a little. college loans suck, most of these graduates have lots of loans to pay off. i am just suggesting you plan ahead.
after 4 years in the navy i was making 40,000 a year, had the GI bill for later, had free medical and dental, and that didn't include my 17,000$ bonus after tax or my cruises into tax free areas.
I'll play devil's advocate and say forget the military. If you don't know what you want to do in it then don't roll that craps shoot. Be normal... fight your way through college... live off of leftover beer and pizza and work 1 or 2 crap jobs. I was in the Air Force, was proper fucked... Here I am. Working 2 jobs, plan on going to school in the fall, and plan on living off of leftover beer and pizza. It's alright so far and I haven't even started school yet. Of course I am looking at getting rid of the SRT... Like stated above, short term financial means shit to long term financial. You can always get an SRT, or Bike, or whatever later in life... Education gets harder and harder as you get older.
