Want to do a Boost Leak test PDX/SW Wash area... - SRT Forums

Does anyone in the area know how to and have the equipment to do a boost leak test? I have had the car 2 years now and wanted to just checkup on it for maintenance. Also wondered if I have a small one since the boost doesnt spike anymore at 15psi and hold at 13 or 14. Now it spikes at highest at 14 and levels off at 12 or 13. I dont even know if it shows a problem or if its normal, or if it even is that big of a performance difference. Any help would be appreciated. I can compensate you for your time, too.

where abouts do you live? I might be able to help you out. If you have very little leaks, it should only take a few minutes to test it. If you throttle body leaks, I wont know how to fix it, as mine leaks a little right now.

Cool! Ill make some time! Hillsboro isnt that far. What days are good for you? Im off Sat,sun, and Mondays. Can I bring pizza,beer, a few $ for your time, or any combo thereof? Lemme know

usually have eves free after 6 sundays off. some bbq has been known to go down on sunday afternoon.

I can help you do it any day after 6. we will need to make a home depot run first as my tester broke.

lac of boost is usually a leak issue, honestly we should take appart and re-build your entire induction system (since you have to stay stock) Basically that would include taking off your FMIC and flushing it out, removing all your boost tubes and cleaning the couplers. Check the turbo for shaft play at the same time and fix the couple factory boost leaks there are. You should be able to pick up quite a few HP without sacrificing your stock status.

will be already installing a new turbo Sunday,
lets just do a turbo/boost leak day. He has
a tester and an air compresser.

Cool! Ill prolly be there 'round 2? (race coverage is usually around 3 hours, then about 30-45 mins for me to get to Hillsboro). If u guys have already eaten bbq by then, I could bring some beer instead
