1 am last night i actually broke out of my normal driving habit to cruise at 20 over the limit. it was fun. im really glad i didnt pass any chargers though. i-5 was nice and clear and i hadnt gone more than 10 over for more than 5 seconds for the past 7+ years.

If I only did 5 -10 over. My commute is more like qualifying. Well I guess it used to be I have slowed down to 80 on my way in. sometimes 75 but that is when the radar detector goes off. Anyways the NASIOC site has a thread on this subject. I will try and find the link to that. Good info for the NW.

Just my two cents.....but 5 mph or 10 mph only makes like a few minutes difference at best unless you got a 1200 mile trip.

Smartest thing I read in the NASIOC post. Bottom line, don't drive like an idiot out there and you won't have to worry who is in what car.

i weighed out the increased speed and figured out its percentage of increase and chopped that same percent off my estimated travel time. i didnt care that it was a fairly minimal amount of time. i just cruised for awhile just to cruise. you do make a good point.

i drive up them big kent hills daily, but this wasnt me. i dont have blacked out rims and my aftermarket exhaust is invisible. i have stock exhaust tips hanging still.

I just drove to LA last week and came back yesterday. 1000 miles each way. It saved me a couple minutes
