I have been in touch with them. We are making a kit to turbo the regular caliber as well as an upgrade for the SRT version. How the hell did you find her and are you everywhere at once? Damn man you have some eyes. I dont know who did the kit though... working on finding out.
This Girl in a white Caliber pulled up next to me in front of Southcenter and honked. She was really cute mid 20's didnt really think much of it since this happens to me all the time. I wasnt thinking she wanted to race since most people cant even tell I have a SRT under the blanket of soot. Light turned Green she smashes and I hear PSSST. I think to myself hey that wasnt my car so I decided to catch up and talk (strictly about the car) She either thought I was trying to race or mistaken me for COY because she just speeds up and blows threw a red light. Hmm my kind of girl so I start catching up to her as we get on the freeway. For anyone who knows the Southbound on ramp it is a long straightaway about a mile before you actually have to merge. I got right to her bumper when it became one lane so I decide to shoulder drive I shifted into 4th and was almost beside her then psst.... She shift and was gone never to be seen again because I started to slow down at 125mph. The best part of this ohh wait I basically got smoked by a girl there is no "best part" but what I was going to say is it seemed like she had at least an extra 1000 rpms between gears.
I will see her again and I will talk with her and get more info for you John even if I have to Ram her next time.
It is the white one, OMG how small of a world is it. Yes I have talked with the guys that did the install. I believe it was a shop down in CA. I talked with them and they said it took real well to boost with out having to change much at all to the motor. I will try to track here down but from what I have been told she drives like a nut most of the time. Now there is a test mule running around with the standard Caliber body but with the srt version motor in it. Its white as well but you can hardly tell unless you look very close at the front end. The intercooler is black and it hauls some serious ass. The only person I have seen driving it is some middle age man and he never lets you get close enough to look at the car. I need to chase his as down with the Suburban and block him in some intersection so I can have a look at it.
Sounds like special ops time. Next person that sees her...right down/take a picture/steal the license plate so we can track her down...then we'll get all the info we need...
so DCX has a few SRT mules rolling around your area?
I have seen it 2 times. No BOV on it (no sound that I can hear) and the only way to tell that somethings a miss is the intercooler and the big single tip on the back of the car. That and how fast it can move out. I have not seen the interior to see if there is a boost gauge in it or not but it does get up and go. First time I saw it I just though "wow that was a fast caliber", then next time I paid a little more attention and was hmmm what is that in the grill. They I heard it accelerate while I was trying to keep up and deffinitly something under the hood that was not stock. If it is a customers car and not a test mule they sure went to a lot of work to hide the install of the parts.
