"people" what kind of people? and isnt there gonna be a lot of cops?
Eh, it's one of the Saturday night street racing scenes, now. Last time I stopped by on my way home from Oly to actually GET DOUGHNUTS, I was stopped by the local police for no front plate.
Ran for over 7 months without it, driving past state patrol, county sheriffs, and local police in the north end. . . without so much as a second look. Stop in Tacoma for 5 MINUTES and they cite me. They can bite me.
If I go there again at night on a Friday or Saturday, it won't be in my car. . . I'll be damned if I'm going to give them any reason to issue another BS ticket.
I've been to the Krispy Kreme on a Friday night there at the Tacoma Mall. Mostly imports. Couple of domestics. Some more classic muscle cars showed up.
We met there as an impromptu SRT-4 meet the night before our Salem Oregon Micromeet.
Not too many people showing off in the parking lot, and those that did got scolded by the rest of us. Self policing helps, but the cops still circle like wolves waiting for 1-2 to wander from the herd.
If you go, watch your driving and how your car is set up in public, and you'll be fine.

Silver '04 You have been weighed. You have been measured. And you have been found wanting.
Krispy Kremes has hired a security guy(really cool) And he has set us up a place to park off to the side of Krispy Kreme. I was there Saturday. I was told there is a group of neons that head out there on Friday nights. about 6 or so. One SRT, One '96 with SRT motor but cant close hood, 2 second gens and 2-3 first gens. The Police dont harass you if you park there because the security guard lets everyone know where to park. Yes on the street the cops will find any reason to ticket people because we make there jobs harder then they need to be. Most people just hang out not much action. Usually a group of them will head out about 11pm and go to Kent.

I am here to moderate you, and occasional Pimp Slap you A$$ when you get out of line.
I'll usually swing by the Krispy Kreme, see if anyone I know is out there. It's about 3 minutes from me, so it's not like I have to go far. Meet some cool guys out there, including an STi owner that just bought the car. Other than that, Kent. Haven't been out for awhile, since we had the baby.

yeh, to all that.
and not much going out after all the tickets ive gotten.
[hijack]had to watch my ass tonight on 167. pacing a county officer at probably 70 yards back doing around 65-68 mph. after about 7-8 mins he gives his lights a quick flash (i thought he was gonna pull someone over). soon he goes to the left lane and slows down. as soon as i pass him he jumps behind me (no, actually not on my ass. i was surprised). figuring he was gonna be a complete asshole like the cops i normally run into i dropped it to 60 so that if i got pulled over id have a pretty good case. turd turned off at the next exit, but at the last second kinda swerving to do so.
now that i think about it he did get uncomfortably close to my rear end when he first got on the freeway so that id move over. his intention was to link up with the sea tac po-po i was previously following at the same speeds.[/hijack]

[continued hijack]Yeah, 167 that night sucked. I was coming down later then you and there were 2 people pulled over about 3 miles apart. Needless to say that kept me doing the speed limit. Between the two of us I think we are both equally cop magnets, I have the look and you can be heard from a mile away. [/hijack]
