Anyways, I went to Dodge of Lynnwood. After running my vin (which they insisted on doing) the parts manager and a service manager insisted that my car did in fact not have this option listed. After reading everyone else's post on the matter and the fact that everyone seams to be told this, I weaseled my way into the the Main Service Manager's office and pled my case. He was nice enough to have me pull my car around and hook up the DRB III. After multiple tries the only result he could get was 'failed'. So, is it a fact that ALL SRT4's came with this alarm device? The guys at this dealership were very helpful (did take some stubborness & persuading on my part) and could not find anything to activate....And I did print out and bring the directions I found on the forum, to which the main manager said 'was generic'.
i think all srt-4 have an alarm if your key chain has panic button on it, or try lockig the doors with you inside with keys outside open the door or if it an 05 with car lock use the key to open the trunk the alarm will go off.
its really really old news. all of them came with an alarm that has to be activated at a dealership. if you lock the doors with the remote and the alarm is active then you will get a blinking light in the gauge cluster. its near where the check engine is located. the alarm is only set off by unauthorized entry, meaning the door managed to open without hitting the unlock button on the remote.

I've had my alarm go off by jacking my car up. Also had it go off once by hitting my car hard. It is the factory alarm.
Weird, really? A factory alarm that needs to be activated?
I am sure I don't have this, as I have locked the car with the remote, and reached inside pressed the door unlock button to get back into the car. keys were in the house, I will also have to look for this flashing light next the the check engine indicator.
How would I go about getting this activated?
I do notice that my car will chime, if I unlock with the keyless and very shortly after open the door, is that normal?

The S3 mod enhances the alarm mode, the dealership has a special code along with some tool they use, its a special option only offered with S3. Call the dealership and ask.
So after our discussion last night I need to get on top of this one. However, you think this will conflict with my turbo timer?
your alarm won't activate while the turbo timer is letting the car run. your doors will work, but the alarm won't. also, did you ground the turbo timer to the ebrake ground? this helps if someone manages to get in your car while the turbo timer is still counting down and once the ebrake is let down, the ground is opened, thus shutting off the car.

I am curious to know what dealership? They are all morons, and I can imagine the look they would give me when I tell them that they need to turn "on" my alarm.
Any dealership should be able to perform the turn on. Try and go to a 5 star or dealership that sells SRT's there. If they sold the cars they should have someone who knows how to turn them on as everyone should have been asked when they bought there car if they wanted it turned on or not. Easy way to check is lock the doors with the fab, then use the key on the drivers door. If the car starts honking and flashing your golden, if it doesn't yours is not on.

There is even a provision for those who want to go the extra mile that you can buy popup sensors for your hood and hook it into the stock alarm, if my memory serves me right.
