hey guys...i know this is stupid for me to even ask and i know searching would do me good but i just installed my stage 1 kit and the check engine light shows. its the p0633 code thats doing that. is there anyway to reset that without having to take it into a dealership? i know most of you have had stage 1 or 2 so im wondering what you all did to get rid of the light...

take out the negative side of the battery terminal for a few mins....mine didnt throw any codes hahaha jk
It sees a code on the key, it's just telling you in the p0633 that there is a "SKIM key mismatch". The code on the key, while not matching PERFECT with the code in the SKIS and the PCM still meets the proper parameters and the VIN check matches.
Have your local dealership use their reader following the instructions listed here: INFO: Used Stage 1 Reflash Method.
gosh im an idiot...its gone now! haha i turned my car on right after i got the stage 1 and the light was on..i never bothered to even try and turn it off and see if that solved it. so i turned it off not knowing and came back later and it was gone! haha.
Now you need a WGA. Stage 1 was a phucking dissapointment when I got it. It does add the convenience of no CEL's while using a catless setup and no overboost codes....and yup that's about it.
It's a good mod to start with. Now you have to figure out what you are planning on doing.....going to be a MOPAR Nutswinger or going to go all aftermarket?? Stage3R with toys....355WHP on HOM....can't go wrong with that.

Working on the 3rd right now.......
i dunno i think im more of a mopar "nutswinger" or w/e...haha just the sound of modding my car and keeping my warranty seems like a good idea TO ME. i think im gonna get the mopar borla exhaust and then maybe the stage 2 WGA...i dunno but for sure the next mod to my car is painting/powdercoating the rims black...anyone know of a place that does it? or anyone do it themselves?
Just Paint them. I just re-did my rims in black with Rustoleum Professional series flat black paint and they came out nice...hella nice!
Stage2 WGA is a piece of shit....just buy an AGP WGA and run a 21 to 22 psi spike falling to 15 at redline (check AFR's though, that's the benifit of a wideband....I recommend a M-300 wideband from PLX....no reason..lol).
Ok here is the deal....if you do anything to your car such as WGA exhausts and all of the other goodies, your warranty is only going as far as the dealer will let you take it. If the broken part is remotely involved with your mods...don't expect them to cover it. As I always say......you gotta pay to play...step up to the plate slugger...go big or go home....and just remember you can get a used SRT-4 motor for about 2g's....lol.
Anyway you look at it.....mod to your hearts content but don't rely on your warranty when shit breaks.
Ah yes....the stored of CEL's in the PCM.......welcome to the world of aftermarket parts. You should be able to take it to the stealership and get the code erased. John does have a big ass scantool. I bet if you throw him some Viagra or Vicodin he would help you out.....lol. JR will take the Viagra for sure...hahahaha
