Default So who wants to go to Mission Raceway this Friday????

Ok I was wondering who was still going or if there were anymore people interested in going. I think we decided to meet at the Park-n-Ride in Stanwood, this park-n-ride is off of exit number 212 off of I5. One thing I do not know is what time? Also V8killer I will have some DR's and so will I8urvr6 so if you have some I would bring them. Anybody else interested in going????

Lets meet at the park n ride @2:30. We can wait around till about 245, 3 at the latest. Make sure everyone has 2 pieces of legal ID!!! drivers license, birth certificate, passport etc or else it will be a bitch to get into canada, if they even let you.

Also, they actually TECH cars at mission unlike @ SIR :-P so everyone better have batterys secured and no covers on lugnuts yadda yadda yadda. Bring a paint stick too, they don't write #'s on the car. You can get 'em at any redneckauto supply store

I think it's required at Mission you have Drag Radials (they don't like 17 second Hondas with street tires wasting their time and taking away the rubber left by cars with real cars).

Also ... Apparently they have a 50 car cap so it's important you get up there early and reserve a spot before it's full.

I wanted to go up there since I'm about equal distances from Mission and Page Ranking (Live in Arlington) but it seems like such a hassle with all of the requirements they have, and of course having to deal with the border and Canadian laws as well. I have some 315/R17 Drag Radials on my car now, so I'm set for that but I just got some dark tint on my windows and it's illegal in BC. I'm just a bit weary because tint is outlawed all together for the front windows so me being the stupid American up there with tint would stand out.

there is no 50car cap at mission. and cars aren't required to have drag radials either. You just need to bring your car up and run. What an excuse maker!! affraid that GT is a bit slow

Nice.

Well, this is what I was told a few weeks ago when I was up there. The impression I got was they're a snooty when it comes to letting people in. Instead of a giant general admission a track like Page Ranking.

Not an excuse maker, just passing on what I was told. I'd love to head up there, but just don't want to go that far and be turned around for some stupid reason. There are hardly any track days left locally and I'm dying to try out my latest set of mods. Should be hitting 12.9/13.0 with basic bolt ons and no stinkin' turbo.

oh it's more than general admition, otherwise I wouldn't be beating down the couple of e46 m3's that show up :-P

Ill be there in the 12's, with 4 less cylinders and 2.2 liters less displacement, and fwd too. have fun running in the high 11's domestic class that shows up!

It's all good. I hope you're right about what you said though. It'd suck to go up there and be turned away.

I didn't come here to pick a fight, just having a little fun.

nah I'm not startin fights, just having some fun I know what the usual 4.6L gt's run, as there are several that show up every week.

I have never once been turned back. the only time we almost didn't run is when it rained in the morning and we came close to not meeting the 50 car MINIMUM. but once we did, it was a 10 run night starting at 6 and leaving @ 1030

I'm still working out the details to see if I can go. I would also be on the stock rubber, and it would be my first time at the track. I'll find out tomorrow.
