Default So the car is starting to come around

still aint much but working on it will get some pics soon but here is my list so far

05 black ACR
Mopar Stage 3 coilovers
Mopar steel strut bars front and rear
Mopar CAI
Mopar BOV (Ricer plate)
Mopar short throw
Mopar tuner tails
plugs and wires
tinted
Sony MEX-BT5000
2 kicker compvr 10s in custum box
1200watt sony amp
1.5 fared cap

I know alot of you will give me some shit for having way to much mopar on there and having that ricer plate. but hey its a start since I have owned this car since june of 05 I just started modding it in May of 07 I think I am doing ok. now if I could just get the know how to install my own A/F gauge and decide which one I want. was going to try to get the triple gauge pod and do an A/F, and then not sure between oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure or what route to tack with the other two slots.

If your looking for something simple and works very well I'd go with the AEM Wideband. Its very simple to install. Hooks into your Downpipe; Run the harness to the gauge and it basically works. (Leaving out the small details; power & ground and gauge mounting)

Don't worry about people giving you shit. We all came from stock and we all went different routes. Everyone has to start somewhere.

All you need now are a set of our adjustable rear tension strut bars to finish out the suspension mods. I will post up some pictures later next week.

Nothing wrong with mopar. Most of the stuff I have is mopar. I had the mopar rice plate for a long time and as long as it does no leak its fine. I still run one in all but name. Its a agp knock off.

You need gauges like you need a kick in the balls. Most gauges are bull shit anyways. If you must (and right now you dont) buy a good A/F gauge and a scan gauge. You dont need either unless you have some serious plans coming up. If not they are only for impressing the other bench racers at the local mall parking lot.
Spend the money on tires and a good high speed track/instruction day

Only reason I mentioned the A/F guage is I do have plans soon. I got the stage 1 pcm comming ehre really soon from PTPerformance. but as soon as I save up a few nickels and dimes I was going to see about upping the stage kit to a 2 possibly a 3. Figure best to be totally prepared for all that ahead of time hence why I have only really touched the suspension so far.

As far as the track day stuff already attended one of them in southern california.

I may check into the AEM wideband if it really is that simple. I am diesel Mech in the Marines and I have some mechanical knowhow with electrics. just was not to sure about the whole A/F on where it hooked into since the government does not mess with that kind of stuff nor anything emmisions wise. Everything else on my car I have done myself except my own alignments. speaking of doing all my own stuff I still need to get to the store and buy a crap load of zipties because I have failed to do that.

And lastly what are all your opinions on catch cans. I have been reading and alot are for and alot are against using them.

The gauges will only be needed if you plan on A) changing out/adjusting the wastegate or B) Running off of PCM controlled boost with the stage kits. For a triple pillar: A/F gauge, EGT, & Oil pressure. A catch can is a very good idea, unless you want a bunch of oil to build up in your intercoller or get sucked into your intake manifold. A check valve is also a great idea... An exhaust would be a good idea too!

all good posts. stage 1, 2 and 3 do not require tuning, so the a/f monitor will not be necessary. youre doing good so far. except i recommend taking out the stereo components and selling them to me for a screaming deal. then your car will be totally setup.

Not to bag on anyone exprience, but I believe that an A/F would be my first purchase for my next ride. An A/F gauge provides good information and can be used to stop a potential harmful problem under boost conditions, some might not agree, but to them I say YES a Mopar blue plate is the best sounding Pshhhhh on the market.

I really like all your parts.

If you have money to spend and don't mind paying more, Mopar is the way to go for a lot of things.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking Ronin. Sadly though I will not be getting the mopar exhause since they do not offer a 3 inch. but eventually I will get to that. now If I ever get to one of these meets might be able to get some instruction on some of the more advanced mods out there. Maybe one day I will get to the races also and get myself stomped by some of you and let out a frown, then smile when I see I can handle turns better.

My goal with this car is eventually stage 3 and nothign super crazy horse power wise I still want it a daily driver. But I figured suspension and tires was the place to start. and am just now getting inside the engine bay. and I figured keeping it mopar couldn't be a bad route to follow in the begining.

Now to JR for wanting my stereo at a screaming deal. would that scream be out of joy or anger. I was thinking I charge you 3 times what I pay for it that way I can go get a stage 3 kit

These cars come stock with a catch can. Some call it the intercooler.

its got a hell of a capacity and you dont have to worry about draining it. the factory boost leaks will take care of that for ya!

Suspension is one of the best mods you can do for an srt4. It handles like night and day. You already have the KW Mopar Stage 3 Coilovers, awesome. Now you can start looking for other things. Mopar sways are nice, rear is adjustable. (You can set for more/less understeer/oversteer). Mopar also makes an adjustable rear control arm kit for our car. Lots of toe adjustments and you can scrap the stock eccentric bolts. Throw in a set of front and rear Mopar strut tower bars and your car WILL handle like you would not believe. Drives nice, and it turns like butter. Cost will be off the roof. But if you have the $, stick with what you've already done. Mopar FTW. You won't be disappointed with those suspension parts and Stage 3 when you put them all together.

Almost forgot, but there is also the Mopar rear tension strut kit. Designed to make your rearend smoother during hard braking. But if you have an 05 ACR you may already have it. You'll have to check.

MOPAR FTMFW! Designed by 3rd party engineers who does nothing all day but to make cars handle and drive faster. Why the fuck would ANYONE go and buy half ass parts from no name asshats.
