Default Skated from a ticket...

Jeezuz I'm pissed...Went and made a food run for some people at work and it was like 12:45, and Taco Bell closed at 1...Driving down silverdale way, and a cruiser comes behind me and follows me for a bit, and flashes his lights...ah crap, my radar detector didnt go off.
I'm thinking "ok, he didn't laser me, he couldn't have paced me because he wasn't behind me that long...must be the exaust since my cutout is open" I quickly close it up as he walks up.
He tells me that he followed me at 45 in a 30, and takes my papers and goes to the car...I give him the excuse that my bulbs are burned out in my dash (well sort-of) and I show him I can barely see them. He says "your exaust sounds pretty loud, this one of them Fast and Furious cars?" I told him that they don't come with mufflers from the factory and showed him the diagram I had in the glove box *damn I am glad I printed that out*
Got a warning...
I was happy until I pulled up to taco bell and the lights turned off...crap, I had to buy Jack in the Box for everyone...

For sure. I saw them run out and pull the door open yesterday for a guy whose tail light was busted out. And 45 in a 30 will not kill anyone

It could if it was raining or something. I don't know about up there but 30's around here usually mean commercial areas where there are a lot of people walking about. Now, at 1am... not so much. But at 1am they are looking for drunk drivers so pulling someone over for 45 in a 30 seems pretty justified. A drunk driver going 45mph is a scary thought. You blow a stoplight at 30 and t-bone someone they can easily die, 45 just compounds the possibilities. He was just doing his job and the fact that he didn't give you a ticket means he was really doing his job. It's not his job to give tickets but to make sure people are acting in a safe manor. When they aren't, they get tickets or worse. You weren't drunk, you weren't causing trouble, you were just going to get food. And you didn't get a ticket for it.... I think its justice served.

This is how they catch people. I mean dont you guys remember years ago they arrested OJ for evading the police while doing under the speed limit wasted tons of tax payer money charging him with Murder.

Truely I read an article that said like 70% of the people aressted for DUI are actually pulled over for something entirely different. Burnt out headlight, not stopping etc.

Police also do this lame stuff to repeat criminals. Like lets say they know you have a suspended license they cant run your name or pull you over just for that. So they pull you over for license plate light being out. Even if it isnt. So what you fight the ticket, most of the time they will let you off with a warning but write you up for NO License then impound. Many of these stupid things are ways(loop holes) for the cops to catch bigger fish. Thats why they can let you off with a warning. I mean imagine a cop saying hey sir/miss I'm going to let you off with a warning this time for killing your cheating partner but dont let it happen again.

A turbo is a federal recognized muffling device, your only requirement is to pass a dba test. Make him break out a meter next time, and ask him when was the last time it was calibrated.
