Going to be installing some Crane 14's soon, and obviously i can't tune these bitches without a dyno.
Anyone know of a good shop around here that knows there stuff with SRT-4's and will dyno-tune a cam install?
I dont wana pay more for the tune than the damn cams :P
Tuning Cams? I like B Flat. R U purchasing adjustable timing pulley's? Or are you looking for someone to make a custom grind cam specific to your motor?

I got crane 14's and AEM adjustable cam gears... I have been told that you need a dyno shop to tune the cams using the gears (timing and all that jazz) to get the most out of them... i guess that is what i am looking for.

That sounds better. Yea bang for your buck, just install the cams and set timing to stock. Wear them in for a while and make sure your pulleys are not wearing/tracking odd. Then tune away.
pm john at ptperformance he will be installing and tuning my cams and gears sometime in feburary
What I don't get to do my first cam install on your ride. Probably a smart idea. I'll learn on Randy's car first. Let me know when it happens I'd like to help you and John

If you ever have reason to be down here, there is a spectacular shop by the name of FAST Specialties in Vancouver. They do engine work on all domestics and are boost experts. They regularly work on the Cobras and Lightnings. They've done complete stage 3 and AGP installs on our SRTs before. They also do engine modifications...like your cams. The main tech that would be working on your vehicle actually has an early 90's Mitsu Starion...2.4 liter DOHC...sound familiar? When I was in there acouple weeks back after hours, he had it torn down to the block, he had different pistons, aftermarket crank, rods, bolts...yeah. He was working something with the "new sleeves" for the pistons lubing them down and all (me not being a mechanic), he was messing with the position of each piston. He had some GT35 Garrett looking turbo on the workbench. It had a beautiful Tial piece on the turbo.
Anyway...These guys WILL charge, however, I can assure you you get your money's worth. They don't mess around. Oh yeah, they've also got a nice elevated mustang dyno to help with tuning as well.

Sweet man, thanks alot I was thinking of PDX tuning, and I know they are in vancouver as well. I will definatly call these guys up.
PDX Tuning?!? The PDX Tuning I'm familiar with is about 5 minutes away from my house...and no, do NOT take your SRT there.
Nice guys, VERY knowlegable but they really don't do a good amount of work on SRTs. They're a Subie house primarily, they also do heavy work on EVOs.
One of my close friends has had his STi in there and they've done a GREAT job...but...better safe than sorry. FAST also has better dynoing facilities and not a little dyno pack thing like PDX Tuning has.
If you call FAST (360 213 2781), ask for Amber Aldridge and tell her that John from Tigard sent you. Good lord! It sound like I'm on the payroll...I wish I was. I keep trying to convince her that they want a sound system guy in there.
