Alright guys, we are gonna be hosting Seattle's 1st Annual Dyno Challenge, the price for pulls are cheap and the prize money is great! This is pretty much open to anything, the rules are simply going to come down to your car having tabs. You guys are welcome to run whatever gas you want even with nitrous. So let us see what you guys are made of and who is going to claim title of highest hp in Seattle! Hope to see you there!! Rules at: http://kitoautosport.com/dynochallenge.html
Holy cheap Batman! Hmm...I know I won't win, but to dyno...
Edit: Posted in the eligibility and rules for prize money there is a $100 minimum cleanup fee. What is that?
If you blow your motor up on the dyno, the dyno must be taken apart to be cleaned, reason for the clean up fee.
That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. Thank You for clearing that up. So do you work for Kito? I've ben looking to get on the dyno since I've never been.

Yes I run the dyno at the shop and do most of the tuning. Strapping your car on the dyno for a baseline pull is the best way of referencing how much power your car has. And when you have done an upgrade, doing another run on the dyno will show you where and how much power you have gained.
With the mustang dyno, doing a pull is like driving your car hard on the freeway. The eddie current allows for constant loading and accurate road simulation. I hope this helps.
BTW: You don't have to compete at this event for a dyno session. But please do take advantage of the price, you will not find any cheaper.
Yeah, I have a few mods and I know I could use a dyno tune. Once I have a couple more diagnostic tools to do some more accurate street tuning, I will definately hop on the dyno. Thanks for letting us know about this event.
How are the awards given, based on HP alone or HP and TQ avaraged or Hp and TQ added together? If it is a combination of HP and TQ do the numbers have to be from the same run or will there be a collecting of best of day numbers for each car? I would love to come out and check out some of WA big hitters. Thanks for posting this up.

We will be looking at just the HP figures to determine the winner.
