SCCA Double Nationals @ P.R. Kent May 24-26 - CALL FOR ASSISTANCE!
Ok all!
The SCCA Double National event at Pacific Raceways in Kent is coming up on the Memorial Day weekend.
I need a bunch of help. Since there will be better than 200-300 cars there, we need help all over the track. Especially where I work in Tech. Every time these cars come off the track they go to impound. There they sit about till thier clock expires, waiting for any protests or issues from the Chief Steward. We weigh 'em and send them on thier way. ( barring issues )
This usually requires a good 10 people. AND since I'm racing the #42 car I will not be able to help as much as I need to. I will again cover weekend SCCA memberships for those that come out to help. And of course we will feed you and keep you in soda/water. There is always a BBQ every evening and all workers are invited. There is usually a good quantity of beer/wine, for those of you that are legal.
These positions require NO CAR KNOWLEDGE except which end to push on to make it go forward or back or how to wave a flag etc. So bring your significant others. We WILL keep them busy. AND everyone will be taught exactly what they need to know for the positions they are volunteering for.
This is an excellent way to get an inside look at how racing happens. There is no better seat in the house. AND it wont cost you anything.
I'm also looking for crew for my D Prepared #42 SRT-4R. Those with significant car experience that feel they can help if the car has any issues that need wrenching on, PM me. I won't be able to use all of you for team crew but I should be able to put you to work someplace on the track.

PS this is not a Club Trials event so you wont be able to drive your car at this event ( July event will have a CT field ). This call is for crew and track workers only.
Well, I'm torn... my presence has been requested by a hot little blondie @ Crescent Bar for Memorial Day weekend, but at the same time I enjoyed helping out at Bremerton and Double Nationals sounds crazy! Decisions, decisions.....
I dunno, don't know her well enough yet to decide whether she can be coaxed away from a sunny sandy beach to hang out at the track all weekend As of now, it does not look very promising....
Its my daughters Birthday weekend but she's at that age she doesnt want her DAD around (except to pay) so I may be available to help. Put me down as a maybe I should be able to firm it up next week.
