"And the dynos rumbled, and God spoke 'Take thine stage upgrade, install it upon thine car, and pwn the many ricers!' And thus MOPAR, son-of-Dodge, begat of the Chrysler and the Daimler began his reign in the front-wheel-drive world. And God looked down upon it and saw it was all that and a bag of chips."
I did my own, but it's not for the fate of heart, must know what yer doing. I did the upgrade from stg2-3 in 8-10hours on jackstands. The whole kit would take you the whole day, with a friend.
It's called a S3 party. You invite a few SRT peeps that will help install. I'll be installing few here in the next couple of months. Let me know, I'll be easy on the wallet.
Any descent mechanic should be able to. It's all replacing stock parts or adding on the them (i.e pcm) only turbo toys would be a bit more creative for placement. Check out DIY (Do It Yourself) network, www.DIYnetwork.com. They just aired a stage 1 install and it looked way easier than I thought. Hardest part on that would be messing with the fuel to put in new injectors. They also have a little blurb about warranty laws in the show too that I want to look up. They said basically only the parts replaced are not covered under warranty. Any dealer should have ability to put it on, they just don't want to because they're stupid, afraid you'll void the warranty. They should be be glad for the work sinc ethey also always charge premium rate per hour.
I checked with a dealer for my S2 and about had a heart attack. Almost as much as the parts themselves. (By the way, Rainier Dodge said they would install S2 for me but as I said, Wicked expensive). Frog, Randy and Coy hooked me up. They know what they are doing and do a great job. As long as there are some expierienced people there, I would be willing to come and help out. Granted, I have no idea what I'm doing but it would be a good time and a good learning opportunity.

Just for future and good info. Jimmy is a service manager for a Dealership in Nebraska. Won an award last year for service manager for his region and was one of the finalists for service manager of the year US wide.
But i am glad your cautious with your cash as to many rip off's are out there. Hope in time Jimmy and I can prove to everyone (that doesn't know allready) that we are here to help and earn your trust.
Silk it sounds like it would be best for you to buy from a PNW Dodge dealership, and have them do the work. Spend the extra money for the feeling of security, no one blames ya for those feelings. I would not want to help you since trust is already an issue. Sometimes dealership installs do make the most sense. S3 for the win

LOL. I rather enjoy f***king up. It's the only way I really learn and remember. Maybe I'm just weird.
