Default Rockin Exhaust Shop

So I tried to install my O2 and exhaust yesterday and realized I didn't have the time, parts, or knowledge to complete the task so I took it into a shop today. Dropped it off and about an hour later I get a call

Shop: Is this nelson?
Me: Yeah, what can I do for ya?
Shop: I'm lookin for the cat.
Me: There's no cat.
Shop: I don't think we can do it then....
Me: It's an off road system, no worries
Shop: Well, I don't think we can do it... Be right back....
Puts me on hold.
Shop: We're not supposed to do it... Bring cash and we'll be good.
Me: DEAL!

But it's even taking them awhile to do it... which is getting fairly annoying.

Got it installed. This things a beast. I love hearing the turbo whistle through the exhaust, it snaps heads down the street. But I will admit, after firing it up and driving it around... I wish I would have put a resonator on it. But it's all good, very satisfied.

+1 for Maxxfab and the O2 and SEE

SEE with no res no cat? Almost went with that but scott (maxxfab) talked me out of it. He is good friend from when I lived near atlanta.

I have no cat but 2 resonators.

Yeah, it's pretty loud. It's only a matter of time before the cops pull me over. It's going to keep my WOT in check while in town.

I have a Maxxfab 3" O2 and catless downpipe straight into a turndown style dump exhaust. No mufflers, resonators, or cat. It exits in the center of the car. It is pretty loud inside and outside the car, but I love it. I've never been pulled over either(knocks on wood), and I've been running this setup for about 6 months now. Guess I'm just lucky.

We'll see how it goes. It's a lot higher pitched then I thought it was going to be, but I haven't got to hear it from a distance. But damn, at idle it sounds mean. Makes me want to buy some cams to go with it. When I walked into the shop they had an older ferrari that had just been finished. The guy started it up and it purred like a kitten. Sounded badass. The tech looked at me and goes.... Your's is louder. It's a beast.

I still have to figure out what's wrong with my boost. Stock exhaust = wasn't hitting any higher then 13 pounds and was dropping to 5-9 depending on the weather. With the new exhaust installed, it's hitting as high as 15 but I have to be almost redlining it, and it will slowly climb up, not hit really hard like it used to. So I'm sure I have a boost leak around somewhere. I'm just going to deal until I go up to PTP next month, cuz I don't have a lot of free time.

Streamline Exhaust in Salem. They had a bunch of hot rods... a ferrari... Some other cool cars in there. I would definitely use them again. It cost me 220. But he didn't know the beast we know as the lower heat shield.

I have the MaxxFabb SEE with cat, no res, absolutely love it! Funny thing is that as loud as this car is and as nervous as it makes the guy inspecting it I have never had any issues with the police. Really tempted to take the lil cat that is on there out completley, know for a fact it would should flames and be a bit louder!

Haven't even thought of that aspect yet... I'm gonna take it out friday night to the races in the boonies and check it out on a dark stretch. This thing should shoot flames like a flame thrower.

It's a boost leak somewhere, I'm sure. Cuz even now, I was on the freeway wide open at 6 grand and it was just slowly building up to 15. It took almost 15 seconds after what should have been full spool just to reach 13. I could drop it down a gear and it still takes 8-10 seconds to climb from 6 pounds to 15.
