road trip to seattle hot import nights, anyone interested?
what started off as asking about tuner shops and a couple of friends making the trek from bozeman, mt to seattle, has now begun to take momentum. i have more friends that want to come along and some people along the way that want to meet up and make the trip with us.
now i was thinking, wouldn't it be great to make the trip with an ass load of people over to seattle?? hell yeah it would be a great time. anyways, what i am asking is if anyone would like to meet up and make the trip with us. we'll be traveling on the I-90 west, so anywhere along there, we could stop and meet up with people along the way.
once i have a little better idea of where we'll be stoping, then i can make a schedule/itinerary, so the faster people respond, the faster i can get things organized and laid out.
also if anyone in seattle want to meet up and shoot the shit, that would be cool too. all me and my friends are looking for is a good time and to meet new people.
Well, I've already got a group of friends that are going over this year as we did last year also. I'd be happy to meet up with you guys and take the treck to seattle with some Bobcats(lol).
sounds good, damn the next two months are gonna drag along making the wait suck. i wish it was sooner, but us montana boys can't be too picky since we never get anything like hin over here (makes me miss being in socal).
anyone know some cheap but somewhat nice hotels in the seattle area??? i was thinking of booking a room for the trip. gotta save $$$ so i can still do things to the srt and i'm also going in on a car with my friends to turn into a rally junker. there's a honda prelude for like $200 and we're gonna split the cost and run the shit out of it on weekends.
talked to a friend tonight about the trip, and hopefully he will have his mustang gt fixed and ready for seattle. his block is shot after putting $7 grand of internals into it. it sucks but he was planning on doing it next spring, so now he gets that part out of the way. plus the trip will knock out his break in period, so he's ready to go.
well, i'm starting to get my shit together, we're planning on leaving bozeman around 9 am on july 29th, so that we can make it to seattle around 9pm. map quest says the trip will be about 10.5 hours, so with stops and meeting up with people i figure it should be about 12 hours.
the morning of the 30th, a couple of us are gonna make the trip down to pdx tuning in portland so my buddy can have his wrx tuned, but we should be back in seattle in the early afternoon. the show doesn't really get going til around 9 pm, but i imagine the line will be long (the last one i went to in la was a 2 hour wait), so we should probably show up at the expo center around 8 pm.
we'll leave on the 31st, at what time, well i guess it's what ever time we start to come out of our daze from the night before!
anyways, if you're interested in going, email me at sneektip@hotmail.com and give me your location so we can plan to stop along the i-90.
damn, i totally forgot about the time zone change.........idiot idiot idiot...lol.
anyways, i'm working on a spread sheet to make a schedule, so far i have stops for butte, missoula, coeur d' alene, spokane, and arrival in seattle. i do need to know of places to stop along the way from spokane to seattle if anyone wants to meet up.
also, i am compiling a list of all those that have agreed to go. if you want to come with us, pm me or email me your name, phone #, and where you want to meet up.
my email is sneektip@hotmail.com and put seattle trip in the subject line.
