This is probably a dumb question, but I figure I would ask anyway... I need an oil change bad, I am doing it this afternoon. Should I break the oil in to some extent before I dyno tomorrow morning? I tried searching for that thread that talks about what you should do before a dyno but I couldn't find it. Googling only returned results for initial engine break in.
nope just check your plugs and boost leak test the car. Zip tie all vaccume lines and bring extra set of plugs and you should be good

yup and somewhere in there is a list of the stuff to make sure you have done prior to going to the dyno.
I have done all of these suggestions in preparation for the dyno thanks to searching through the other dyno noob posts I have read here. As long as my boost leak test comes out ok I should be solid for the dyno tomorrow. I'm not all that serious about the results of the dyno to be honest. Its $50 for 3 runs, and I am going more to show support for the local srts and the shop willing to give us a break on dyno fees.
I do want a good run though...
So the only thing I am concerned about is I seem to have lost 2-3 psi after installing my needswings v5 and new upstream o2 sensor. No codes, but runs really really rich. reading troubleshooting steps for running super rich and loosing boost all leads back to the o2 sensors, but what I read also suggests that codes are thrown, of which I have none.
I am hoping I find a 3psi leak tonight, anyone have any thoughts on running so rich?
didnt find any leaks on mine, found/fixed leaks on the other cars though so it was a fruitful boost leak testing party. Had fun Nic and Jay, we'll do it again sometime.
yea I was just being a dick, sorry. we did 4th gear pulls, I came out 270hp/280tq afrs were 10.5, correction was .98 (even though the sheet says 1.0). numbers seemed pretty high though so what ever. The point is I had a great time and so did everyone else, cant wait to tune and run it again!
