Exclamation PTPERFORMANCE Check Valve

I met up with John today (PTperformance) and put on the check valve system to prevent boost leaking from the PCV. The check valve is high quality and all I can say is wow. I gained an Extra 1 to 2 lbs in each gear. I can consistenly hold 14 to 15 lbs in 3rd and above. I definitely reccomend this mod for anyone out there that is looking for a gain in boost (aren't we all). He is starting to sell the kits that come with all the fixings to put it together, if you are interested PM him, and he can hook it up. Thanks again John. My car thanks you

the pcv comes off the top of the motor and is supposed to block air travel going in. this is because the other end of the line is connected to the intake manifold. the valve fails causing your intake air to be bled off. once the check valve is in place you lose no boost through the pcv.

the check valve is located at the manifold end of the hose.

thanks guys for the posts. norwaygt, the valve was originaly made for reduction of pressure in the crank case due to the pcv system leaking boost into the valve cover thus buy reducing the leak into the crank case we have now seen an increase in boost. very cheap and effective mod. again thanks to jr and mark.

Norway, I would hit John up on PM and he maybe can snap a pic off, but as you know I am stock with stage 1 and I can hold this boost schedule which I have never seen...

1st - 11 lbs
2nd - 14 fades to 12 at redline
3rd - 15 fades to 14 at redline
4th - 15 fades to 14 at redline
5th - Haven't checked yet

There is a pretty good thread about the subject. Long read but it has several pictures in it and a how to. Very informative.

PCV valve leaks under boost so get Check Valves

Works great with all stages. The reason for the valve originaly was to keep the pressure out of the valve cover/crankcase because the pcv valve leaks boost into that area. It has just been a benifit to get more boost and quicker spool of the turbo. Install time is 5 min. to 15 min. depending on with or with out cc.
