Default Props to MySRTfriesrice

He's low-key enough this probably isn't necessary for him, but I wanted to shout out my thanks to the mechanical genius that is mysrtfriesrice for helping me install my loud-az-hale (!) B&B exhaust this past Wednesday. I'm still running stage 0, but some progress has been made: more throttle response, and seemingly less lag (typical?) by whatever backpressure has been reduced. Sure, it's still got the stock O2 housing, and it's only boosting 14-15 psi, but it just feels more...... open. And responsive.

Mike, you need to get yours; skip the borla and the magnaflow, go straight to the man behind the counter and ask for the Billy Boat. I'll let everyone know once I've re-dynoed to see if I picked anything up on my 221.2 hp/289.11 lb-ft #'s I posted 2 wks ago.

Thanks again, Wayne. u da man.

I've ridden in 1 car w/ the Mopar/Borla setup and it sounded nice, not too different from stock, but I don't know how much hp it added. Owners seem to like it, tho.

I've ridden in 1 car w/ a dirt cheap ($170) custom setup that looked cool as hell, but I don't know if it added any hp, either. Plus, Wayne says he always dyno's low since he got the Friday Car.

For BB's MSRP of $1125 + another $250 for the cat, I doubt that many of us would find it worth it, unless we were at the track, or just had no other less expensive methods of finding hp left. (Note that Billy Boat is known for their work on Porsche cup, ALMS, and Trans Am series-type of race cars.)

That said, hopupracing.com has it on sale for like $950 or something. At that price, $ per hp gained = $31.90 (if I get the whole 30, remember I'm stage 0), compared to $33.50 for the Mopar/Borla rig, so it's cheaper in relative terms. So it sounds like a good deal to me! (I use math wizadry to justify my actions all the time, pisses the wife off something fierce.)

Come to the SRT RSD tomorrow morning and listen & feel it for yaself, tho. I enjoy it..................

I like my Borla exhaust and I just can't wait to get my Maxxfab Dp. It should give the same whp as a 3 in turboback.
