Went to the track today and did some runs. Still no chip and i ran the time below. But i could of gotten 13.5 for sure. When i shifted into 4th gear it went into limp 7psi so a sec then went back up to 15psi. It did it evertime i shifted into 4th I know its my MAF. What do you guys think.

Well, I had fun today even though it was pretty frustrating in all. First off, what was up with having different classes for slicks, bikes and street tires? Why would they bother to seperate the groups when it was test n tune, not bracket racing. I thought that was pretty crappy because it ended up being that the guys on slicks and the bikes (not to mention the dumbass kid dragsters which are nothing more than parents living vicariously throught them) getting 2 - 3 runs for every run that guys on street tires got. Did we not all pay the same amount to race?
As far as the actual racing, lets just say that our car needs new, sticky tires extremely badly! My best run ended up being a 14.3 w/ a 2.49 60' (I went 13.9 @ 99 last summer before we got S2 and the AGP WGA). Not only that, the tires spun for all of second gear and spun on the shift to third. I know our KDW's aren't slicks, but I honestly have an easier time getting traction on the streets with the tires fully inflated.
The track at Pacific sucks pretty bad IMHO. I can't believe that the strip is supposedly all new (1 year old) because it offers absolutely no traction whatsoever. I tried slipping the clutch, holding the throttle steady until it hooked, etc... and nothing worked. Once I got more than half throttle into it in first gear the tires would just go up in smoke and second wouldn't hook either unless I kind of bogged it. I'm gonna take Norway GT's advice (I think thats his SN) and go up to Mission (or to Bremerton) from now on. I've raced at Mission in the past and it is a much, much better surface. Not only that, they actually put down some VHT compound to help you hook up, unlike the cheap bastards at PacRaceways.
Other than that rant, I had a fun time meeting up with the SRT guys and look forward to racing again with new tires sometime. I just don't think I'll be wasting money at Pacific again.
Today was awesome, first time I got the SRT to the track. For all that were there I did not fall asleep every run! Since this was not a bracket race, I was not using the lights at all. My times are below, remember that my car was with full interior and spare, and a big beautiful asian male!!!
Mods- STG 1, Borla exhaust.

I do agree that it was gay as hell on all the diff. class's. The mini dragster just get me pissed off. I hate those things more than anything. I was wonder too why the guys with slicks go like 3 times before i even go once I mean hell it should be the other way around. There where 4 times as much people on street tires then slicks, so dont you think they should let us go first. Next time i will go with some drag radials and sneak into both lanes
I like pacfic raceways they prep the track nicely, they use a lot of VHT. They heat the tracj with a torce and put lots of VHT today. I cut a 2.1 60' time on 70 dolla tires on 35psi. Its hard to launch for some people all you need is pratice.
chill out on the track, its frickin february! they probably didnt even sweep the pine needles dirt and whatever else off the strip. last years opening day was terrible for me, yah i got frustrated, but then i left. when i came back later in the year it was awesome.
now, their biased running of a tnt is something to be mad about. street tire people get way less runs and they should try to even things out a bit because as said, we all pay the same. i hate waiting for the mini dragsters also, but i guess they do deserve a chance to run. not necessarily more times than us, but a chance no less.
congrats to those who were happy with their runs & good luck to teh n00bs like 2tire(bbam)fire

Dude I wanted 13's so bad I could taste it, but it seems like everything that I tried different it would just result in a slower ET but a faster trap? It was weird. The sweet spot as you said, is about 2300 RPMS and a slight slipping of the clutch till you get traction then WOT. That is how I pulled the 2.2 off, and figure I will be sticking to that method, hey I might not be the fastest.....but if we were sumo wrestling that might be a different story

They don't use any of the VHT!!!! You're craZy! I was in the car on the way there of course, and on a crumby freeway on ramp we got 10x the traction we got at PAC raceways when launching harder! The Torch was to burn up a spill some car had. They only use their VHT for special events. Why do you think they had about 40 barrels of it, and none of them were in use?
***ATTENTION*** I thinks its much more worth it if we all meeet up at Bremerton or Mission from now on. So lets all schedule something, eh' guys?
