That's the thing! My wife makes more than I do. She's got to cut back her hours at work for the final push into OHSU dental school. She's already got her pre-med from GWU in DC, but OHSU wanted he to retake Organic Chemistry because they didn't like the course that GW gave. They actually have NO idea how the course was taught and what specifically is lesser than what they want...it was just another hoop.
*sigh* So, my wife is on the downswing of the year long O Chem course at PSU in which she has a "A" grade, whatever GPA that is... 3.6-4.0 at the university level.
You guys can understand, I'd rather be without the SRT for another 4 years and then be able to afford a much MUCH nicer vehicle...if you get my drift. Afterall, denstists can make some serious bank.
The choice is simple, buy a nice little factory tricked out Yaris, lighten my payment by $100 per month, get 40 mpg, roll in all maintenance into the contract so that there's NO out of pocket costs(just show the dealer a card and the do the maintenance for free, yes even the BIG maintenance dates), lower insurance and use regular gas and play stereo god like I'm used to OR stay status quo with a mild edge towards stressed with 175 more horsepower and more than that in torque.
Can you blame me?
So, if you guys know someone that'd like an SRT holler at them. I'd even go down to 13K I suppose. I'd just rather not have to trade it in to the dealer if I can avoid it.
Hey Jay- That stage 1 of yours is still kickin' and doing well. I got the overboost problem fixed. You should have heard the mechanic who was in the passenger's seat with me when I took him for the road test. "Holy shit this thing has some torque!" Apparently the Stage 2 WGA was bound up somehow.
I'd really rather start over. Honestly, this is probably the last time I buy an American car. I've had nothing but trouble with the dealers around here...whereas my wife has had nothing but success with Toyota dealers in her last two vehicles.
I'll tell you this, I'm never messing with the engine of my daily driver again! The only thing I'll do with the next car is stereo upgrades.

And my real name is George Carlin.
I understand, though. You'll just lose in depreciation on the Yaris two years worth of difference in payments on the SRT. You're just putting off your costs until later, with a lot less fun.
Ahh yes but I'm still saving since I'll be paying less real cost for the use of the car...with a lot less fun. I figure that in four years I'll be able to step it out a bit more. Saying that, later is when I'll be able to afford it more.
Besides, I'm a stereo guy at heart.
If I do trade this car in, I'll be stripping everything I can out and coming to you guys to sell it.
I have lots of love for the comraderie though. I'll always be a "fan of fun".

you could wreck it, take the insurance money then sell me the car........ohhh wait thats insurance fraud, my bad. I was trying to stay in the 10k range but if you come down a bit more....?
