Pearl Jam was cool back when they didn't shove all of their political shit down your throat.
I hate it when people become famous and then think that gives them the right to preach
their beliefs on everyone.

i dont know. I never really liked them but they do SOME good music. I am only going because i got the tickets for free and was wondering if anyone else was going. As of right now i have one ticket that is not being used too.
Everyone knows that it's the other way around. Creed sounds like Pearl Jam and more specifically, Eddie Cheddar. heh
I liked Pearl Jam once. TEN was their best album. It was a downhill slide after that.
If I had to pick the 'Seattle Band' I liked the best, it was probably Alice in Chains or Soundgarden. Candlebox kicked ass too. In fact, the guy in the red S2000 at Burgermaster the other week said he was going to a party at one of the guys from Candlebox's place. I shoulda invited myself.
I saw them at the Daytona Beach Convention center many years ago when their first album "Ten" came out. We actually just stumbled across the center, lost, and saw the sign. Bought tickets 5 minutes later. Awesome show.
Then they went downhill.
Of course, my friends were dumb enough after a Lollapalooza to pick a fight with Nine Inche Nails, Soundgarden, and Henry Rollins at their hotel....they got their drunken asses kicked BIG TIME.
Alice in Chains was the shit until their lead singer killed himself.
And I kinda liked that thing where Pearl Jam and Soundgarden teamed up on a couple of songs.
But the BEST concert I've been to of all time was Nine Inch Nails with Marilyn Manson opening and the Jim Rose Sideshow Circus for intermission. Mr. Lifto RULED!

Mmmm, Temple of the Dog. Great CD.
I actually went and saw Galactic Cowboys a few years ago (A lot like Kings X
but harder and faster) and I looked over and sitting next to me was Doug Pinnick
the lead singer of King's X. I looked at him, and he could tell I recognized him.
I leaned over and shook his hand, mouthed that I loved the band (because it
was so loud) and he noticed the toilet paper crammed in my ears. He pointed
and then turned his head sideways to show me the toilet paper crammed in
HIS ears. Pretty cool. King's X rocks.
You haven't lived until you've seen ANTHRAX open for PANTERA.
..and you won't now, either
Damn that show was like 6 years ago. Still kicked ass. Shit, I sound like those old metalheads that hang out at the bus stop and talk about the old days before they had to get a job. Shit, I haven't had long hair in like nearly 5 years now...ditched the wallet chain, too.
Creed was good until that dude cut his hair. It was the only god rock band I could stand. Just as catchy as Jars of Clay but not as 'church youth group' oriented. hehe.
