Hey guys-

Are any 'relatively' stock SRT-4s going to be out at the track on the 14th? I'll be out there again with a few other 'stangs and wanted to see how well I'd do against one of you guys who are stock.

I know I'm going to get spanked by anyone with mods, but would be interested in seeing how well I do against one since I haven't raced one just yet.

I was at the track on the 30th in my Silver GT, and I think I was talking with "kingj07" for a while in the staging lanes, and at the gate before paying. Had horrible traction, but only ran a 13.9 @ 102 with a 2.5 60'. I need slicks.

See ya'll there.

yeah, that was me out there & i will be out again. it might be my last time for awhile- or at least til i get some more mods which i dont have money for at the moment.

we had a thread for this last week where i was the only one who decided to go, but when we got there there ended up being 3 stage 2 srts and one stage 1.

we'll see..

I'll throw another maybe on that list... I'd love to get out there and see what this thing will do. I'm stock, but I have an AGP intake sitting in my room. Got it two days ago, and I could easily have it on by Wednesday. I'd love to put it on between runs, but I think it would just be too hot to work back there... I'd probably need at least an hour to let it cool. Also, I have no track experience (with the SRT, 50+ runs with my last car), so I'm not sure I could be consistent enough to get a good before and after...

I'll think about it.

i could be mistaken, but an intake might be able to be put on even while the car is hot. i wouldnt expect a huge difference from it, tho.
if you want to do it at the track im up for helping out, no problem.

Yeah, the damn thing attaches right to the turbo, so I'd just be worried about burning myself. The heat wouldn't affect the installation itself. I'm not expecting a big difference, but I think it would be beneficial to get before and after runs (I'm sure AGP would appreciate it too).

Yeah man its no sweat, taken it off a hundred times with the turbo still hot. Best to have a glove handy though. I'll be bringing most of my tools with me, so we can install/adjust most anything we need to.

yeah, ive learned the hard way about not bringing tools to the track. good thing i live close by. and wayne, last week at the track, didnt you manage to get a burn even with the glove?

nwsrt4, we should talk some more & check out your car to see whats up with it. i think i just made up a new name for wayne, just because he likes to tinker with cars so much. i guess i wont say it. anyhow, i meant to say that wayne would be all grins if he was under the hood of your car.
waynes new name is tinkerbell HAHAHAH

Dumb question: Are we talking about Pacific Raceways? I've never dragged a car (though I do know my way around a road course) so this is new to me... Can NE1 just show up? Is there a registration process? I might just drive up and meet some of you guys and le arn a little before I hit the drag strip...
