Thanks a lot for volunteering!! We couldn't do it without you! It's also the best way to see the rally up close...talk to the drivers etc.

On a side note, Travis Pastrana (X Games / Moto star) will be racing and is always fun to watch and a great guy!

Thanks for the support and we'll see you out there! Feel free to swing by car 340 and say hi!

i saw on tv when travis pastrana first raced rally. he did an awesome job of rolling his evo. even better was that it ended up on its fours, so he trucked on to the finish line. ive dug tirelessly and cant find a video, but heres a picture.

it just so magially happens that michelle and i will be in portland staying the night saturday. about how much time would it take get to the event? is showing up late a bad thing (i.e. missing chances to be at certain spectating spots)? we are considering going sunday, but probably not early by any means. i would love to volunteer, but it isnt really a possibility.

Here's the link to the spectator info.

The stages on Saturday will be out in the woods! There are detailed driving directions and times in there. Specating a rally is almost a sport within itself!

I hope you can make it out!

Still haven't heard back from them. Figure I'll just go and observe if I don't hear anything.

Default Friday at PIR

We were helping out on Friday at PIR, it was great. The one good picture I missed was the Evo getting up on two wheels so far we were able to see the black skid plates on the bottom. He ended up have a 2 to 3 inch dent on his door sill from hitting the boulder.

This guy said he got the 2003 a few weeks ago and just put the roll cage in and other changes to make it able to race. Very nice guy.

Here is the skid plates from the front. I was up on the course Wednesday, could not beleive how rough it was. The front of the hay trailer kept digging into the course going over some bumbs bends.

Other pics of his car.

This was another one.

In the side by side race that evening, the silver car won.

I have a couple of videos also, worried about band width, so if someone can host them for me, let me know.

We will be up in the coast range on Sunday.
