I put in my wideband today.....easy for the most part....but i have a question.....in idle i get nothing but dashes across the screen, is this normal?? it will start to jump around at startup between 15 and 17 and than it'll go to the dashes.....is this normal.......i am at work right know and haven't been able to romp on it, so i dont know what the wot afr's are yet.....i knew that they come from the factory pig rich, but i wasn't expecting to see 17+ on the red side

Did you try opening your cut out? Mine does that if the cut out is closed but, if it is open it registers normal

Which wideband?

At idle it should bounce between 14.5-15.5 not a bunch of dashes. Only time you get dashes is when its to rich to read, anything under 10 on a AEM I believe. I guess it might do it if its to lean to read as well and a cut out may be the cause if open.

Letting off the gas will cause it to bounce like crazy for a few seconds, important numbers are at WOT. Under 12 perferred in the neon. It shoudl always read a number unless way high or low, dashes at idle = something weird/wrong IMO.
