Cool Oh man, what a sad day... need advice.

So the new news.

Recently, went and upped the boost on my car. I am now pushing 27lbs and holding 18-19ish.

Also, added some coolingmist meth injection (70/30) mix roughly.

Then put some 100LL in the tank, and for once my redlight stays on.

Now for the first couple nights this car went like a RAPED ape!

But now my clutch won't hold the power.

and now had to DEtune the car, what a sad day.

So, I am NEW clutch shopping!!!

Thought maybe some could give me some advice on what to buy and how well they perform.

I need something that will be rated to the 500hp range, and allow me to use the "boost hold feature" or "pop" shift, however; you may call it. I could give to craps about pedal feel.

I thinking about doing a lightened flywheel at the same time and could use some good thoughts.

Also, could someone shine some light on this "holds 170% over stock crap?" 170% * ~240hp = 408 => not enough....

lower the boost, blowing hot air not making any power above 23ish psi. only shortening the life of the stocker. get the cm stage iv 6puk and a ragetech clutch pivot arm

I run 25psi on the S3, and Nivo ran 28 and made GOBS of horsepower. He also runs meth so cooling isnt too bad I imagine, especially with ambient temps in the 60's.

Big FMIC would help out a whole lot though, also the spike and drop is kind of extreme. How are you getting the spike that high on that WGA? I would say boost leak like a mofo, but It's probably your WGA. Or some combo of.

I spike 25 and hold 21. So 4psi drop which is what you want. Shit ideally you want 25psi spike, 25psi hold (example). I run the AGP S3 WGa though.

I had a ptp stage3 for a VERY short time..................... returned it and got a CM4

Cluch Masters Stage 4, (4 puck race). Drives pretty nice and no problems holding/putting the power down.

Clutch Masters Stage 4 seems to be a viable option, but it claims that it hold only 170% over stock = 408hp which is not enough to suit my future needs. Or, am I reading this wrong?

Also, does anyone else get slight movement of their clutch slave cylinder?

Should I go with an aluminum flywheel?

Thanks for the helpy.

My guess would be that the holding power is measured in TQ not HP.

If this is right then 170% over the stock torque of: 245 would be (1.7x245 = 416.50), 416.5 + 245 = 661.50 TQ

thats not how a clutch's tq holding numbers work. i dunno how they get the numbers but i think the stock clutch is rated at like 225tq or something like that. again i dont know how they get that number. but to make it easy any version of the stage 4 cm will hold 500whp any day.
