Default Offiicial "Parts I ordered just for HPDE Day" thread

I'll start.

Helmet
Short throw shifter
Direct fit intercooler (hope it arrives before the 22nd...it'll be REALLY close)

And after reading Cindi's post about brakes I'll probably be buying some of those too.

All these mods are ones I had planned on doing over the next couple months, but buying it all at once is killing me!

Don't get caught in that trap man. You don't NEED any parts that are better than the stock equipment for this day. I know we all want to have better parts and get faster, but the whole idea of this HPDE is spending money on the Driver mod. A pro driver in a rental Neon would whop all our ass's on the track no matter how many parts we buy. So just remember you bought the best part allready, the reservation to go and the part your working on is you.

Yeah, I hear ya. I just kinda moved the time table forward on a few things since I'll be on the track. The short throw and the helmet were the two "must haves" for me. I already need a helmet for drag racing (SA) and the throws on the stock shifter have been getting on my nerves for a while now.

Lol @ pooping hammers.

I bought the following, although not necessarily for HPDE day
Timing belt
Timing belt tensioner
Timing belt idler pulley
Water pump /w gasket
Accessory belts

Yea, guess what I'm doing sometime in the next few months lol.

Also,
Amsoil Synthetic Syncromesh Transmission Fluid
Amsoil SDF oil filter
Mobil-1 Extended Performance
Time for my 10K mile oil change & 40K tranny fluid change. I'm going to be flushing the cooling system too before the date. Fan is already coming on too often for my taste...at idle

I joke but when I really want to drink a lot of beer I reach for butt light....or PBR...I think I like PBR more than Bud Light.

I should start a 'What's your favorite shit beer?' thread.

Eeah whatever.

I heard a new one. My redneck neighbor calls Sparks 'Aiming Fluid' Supposedly it smells like orange soda if you put it in a Super Big Gulp cup. He's a cool guy but I want to slash his tires when he talks about drinkin and driving so nonchalantly..
