NW People:FREE Picture, Video hosting and Email - SRT Forums

Hey everyone. Since I moved NWSRT4.com over to a new host, we may as well take advantage of some of the features that are offered.

We have a large amount of disc space, monthly transfer and email addresses at our disposal. At some point in time I will look into providing an FTP for file/pic/video hosting, or maybe for NW people's personal pages, but for now I am setting up free email for all the NW people. One of the great features is POP access. This will allow you to read and send email from Outlook or Thunderbird or any other mail client. This also allows you to use another mail service (like gmail) to download your email there.

EDIT: I've decided against POP accounts going forward since most people have a bazillion email accounts already. I CAN set you up with a forwarder that will forward your <user>@nwsrt4.com to your Gmail account or wherever, so let me know if you want one.

I got the Gallery software on NWSRT4.com up and running.

Feel free to take a look around. It's pretty dang slick.

NWSRT4 Photo and Video gallery

This will be where we will have albums for events and also personal galleries.

This software has a whole boatload of features, including comments, captions, resizing, RSS feeds for us dorks, slideshows, simple and complex file uploading methods, including the capability to upload several pics at once.

How do you get in on this? Simple. Just go to the URL above and click [register] in the upper right corner. Enter your name (I suggest your SRTForums username) and a username (I suggest the same. I also suggest keeping it lowercase) and the gallery will send you a confirmation email where you can then set up your password.
After you create an account, shoot me a PM and I will set up your personal gallery in the member albums section. If you don't, you won't be activated! One more thing: feel free to link the pics elsewhere. Same goes for videos! I only ask that you keep things reasonable. Don't upload 200MB videos and don't upload porn or anything illegal.

Also, feel free to send me a PM with any questions, problems or suggestions.

Small feature update:

You can go to http://www.nwsrt4.com/gallery/updates/ and see the 24 most recent postings to the gallery. Better than surfing through all of the albums!
