Default NW Guys (and girls), who gives good insurance rates?

I'm shopping my policy around, getting quoted on the SRT-4, and am wondering who everybody that lives in/around the Seattle area goes through for their insurance policy.

I've gotten a few quotes, my parent's guy at Allstate tried to take me to the cleaners at over $1200/6 months. And that was with $1,000 deductables and low medical coverage! To keep the same coverage as my parents he was quoting me at $1650/6 months! Progressive is the cheapest I've found so far, with a 6 month policy costing about $1,000 with $500 dollar deductables and what seemed to be decent enough medical coverage.

I'm not looking for total bare bones coverage, but something that'll cover the standard bases so that, barring a fiery death crash from hell, I'll be covered if I happen to put somebody else in the hospital. I'm a 23 yo male (soon to be 24) with a good credit rating and only 1 ticket on my record. Thanks for any references you all can give me.

Progressive is pretty much the best insurance company until you turn 25 or you have the need to purchase additional policies (life, homeowners, etc).
I was with Progressive (my division changed to Drive insurance) for years but they couldn't match the offer extended to me by The Hartford.
I always got the best insurace prices through my broker. This broker doesn't charge anything, knows her stuff and isn't partial to one company or another.

Tell her James Kearney sent you. I don't get any kickbacks or anything, I just think that she does a great job and what better way to show her that then to refer people

I go through State Farm and pay $107 a month for full coverage on the tC ( $50 deductibles ) . . . I have many discounts though . . . multi-car, multi-line, safe driver, and defensive driving course. I don't have any tickets or accidents though.

But Brian pays $156 for full coverage on his truck with $500 deductibles and one ticket on his record through State Farm as well. And he drives a V8 truck. Both of us are 23 with good credit so it's pretty similar to your situation. Not sure how much more the SRT is going to run though. They have many agents all over so you should find the one closest to you and give them a call.

And you know, the bank that I work at has insurance. We are a broker so we go through many different companies to get you the best rate. I've sent quotes over for a couple people who have actually been able to save money with us. If you want, PM me and I can let you know what we need and I can have them run a quote for you to see if we can save you money. Saves you from doing all the work!

If you have a relative that is in the military you should be able to qualify for USAA insurance. Pretty good pricing. Just throwing out options.

Another benefit to going with a broker is that they run your credit once and then use the same report for everyone (typically). If you're concerned about the number of credit inquiries on your record, this is a serious plus.

Ya Fischy !!!

Go Wawanesa!. Great rates and good service.

JRsRoxxyGerlie, I have a question for you. How do you get a ticket in a Echo? The thing is a like a fuel ecno go cart. (I really do like the Echo, however I cant drive one).

I have State Farm Insurance... I got my own coverage at 23... full coverage at $1078.34 for 6 months. Like you... I only have one speeding ticket and a very good record/credit. Now... since I turn 25 this last April... my insurance dropped to about $600 every 6 months. I have lived in Seattle for 5 years... Federal Way was my hometown. Still currently living in Seattle.

Thanks for all the leads on getting a good rate. I went to the Wawanesa webpage but I think they only do policies for people living in Oregon and California. So far Esurance and Progressive are both at $985/6 months. I'll call on the one Jaymzx recommends on Monday.

i didnt know echos could go fast enough to get a ticket jk

i dont know what the specifics are with my insurance, but its thru my parents name. i am 21, clean record ,$108/month with statefarm. when i first got the car it was 180/month, but i did a safe driver program that you log your driving for like 3 months and shit, it sucked but it saved me like $30 a month. then turning 21 made it go down another 40 a month or more

pemco probably wont take a speeding ticket person, but when i got my car i was at under 100 per month. once they found out about our car i paid 20 bux more per month. they allowed me to start up with them having a negligence ticket soon dropping off, then i got the srt-4. i did raise up the deductables to make the rate more affordable
