I have no idea what the TQ record is forum wide but pretty sure this is tops in the NW with no spray. He has it set up to spray but still tuning.
776 TQ
Autotrans, built block, some big turbo,
no, I cant post a dyno sheet. This was built in a locals garage. Fuck your fail without pics or dyno sheets. Its just a thread to give local "shop" owners a goal to strive for.

Probably closer to 30psi peak (I was too busy watching the afr), if the TQ is overstated I don't think it's a huge amt... If you search around you'll find 5speed guys with less mods putting down 620-630ft lb of TQ at 25psi and the same turbo. In my case TQ is multiplied by the combo of stall/gearing/spool/head, it's because of the auto trans (very low trans gearing mated to a good stall speed/turbo for that gearing equals a TQ spike because of the speed of the spool around stall rpm, it's an auto trans/stall/gearing multiple)..
I'll be doing the full tuning this winter so we will see if we can net more/less peak tq (I doubt more and even if so if the trans/motor can handle it) with much more boost (setup to run up to 36psi or so) and a stand alone. Spray is just for the track and very short sprays in 1st gear only at that...
Not bad for a car built by a bunch of good friends drinking rockstars on the weekends in a garage. Good times, building it was more fun then driving it. Now I've gotta try to follow though with track times to match (next season).
First three it made about the same Hp/tq everytime but spun, this was with really good/extra straps and we had other cars make 480-556ft lb with no traction issues at all (big v8).. We tried 26-27psi and it still spun so after that we turned the boost way down to 21-22psi (under the efficency range for this turbo) and I think it made ~450hp with no traction issues and a less then 10.0afr from 3000-7200rpm ...
When we do the real tuning we will have good/big DR with us... I was expecting decent tq because of the gearing/auto but the amt of hp was supprising, Esp since of the added drivetrain loss of HP from the auto. Now the tq number we will have to see what happens with good traction/tune and more boost.
Also I'm not compeating with anyone for hp/tq or et/trap I'm just in it for the enjoyment I get out of working with my hands and hanging out with good friends.

lol @ your sig. His rpms jumped extremely quickly indicating wheel spin, but no tire smell or jumps on the graph. If you were there to see all the numbers of the day you would know that there is nothing wrong with the dyno. There were a few people who dyno'd almost the exact numbers they dyno'd on different dynos. One person had the same results from up to four different dynos, so if there is something wrong with the dyno that was used then 3 other dynos (one even in another state) are wrong. Don't be an idiot. Just sayin....
P.S. This is all I'm going to say about Drew's numbers and the dyno. I can already smell the shit storm brewing and I want nothing to do with it.
It seemed like it was unknown whether you had wheel spin or not. Obviously he was talking about one particular pull, and commenting on kyles sig that I didn't see.
Great gains anyway from your last dyno. Hopefully you can get some fender flares and big slicks under their and surprise yourself at the track. Seems you are over achieving your own goals.

I've got fender flairs ready to install, just need CO, rims, longer wheel studs, spacers, tune, line lock and big slicks. Also since lb kills autos I'm going to try and take a few more hundred pounds off the car. Good thing Ive got all winter to figure it out.
So no chart? Hmmm, I have a dyno that shows 1310 WTQ, should I post it in here so I can have the new record?
This is foolish to even argue with considering we don't have a dyno chart to look at, not only that but the auto trans combo's almost always read lower WTQ then HP due to the converter slip and stall. Torque converters are not a 1 to 1 lock between the motor and the axles, they always have some slip. Just FYI.
I did hear that the HP numbers were up pretty high, so congrats on that.
That's funny, talked to Checksum/others (that know actually what they are talking about) about this and if setup for it autos can result in lots of TQ.
Not gonna ever post graphs (don't need to since I'm not selling anything with them) I'll post time slips once I start to get em though..
I'm speaking of my experience with tq converters in auto cars on a turbo400 and the pt4speed. Have never dyno'd one with the 3 speed (yet ) Our pt4speed car made 320whp 450ftlbs on stock turbo at like 18psi pull after pull after pull.
I'm a firm believer that the tq converter was the culprit for those high tq numbers. Oh and it made another 20ftlbs on a dynojet so it wasn't just our dyno.
