Default New header installed and dynoed my car today...

Header was built by Eric Urness (R/T Ernie), and ceramic coated satin black by Finishline Coatings. It's got 1.75" primaries, and a merged tri-y (or 4-2-1, whatever you call it) collector. The header has a 3" outlet and an extra bung for wideband O2 readings.

Engine mods are:
3.0CAI, TTI UDP, Mopar ECU, ATX TB, long tube race header with merged 4-2-1 collector, 3" cat, dynomax 2.5" resonator, 2.5" hooker max flow.

The engine has 113k miles on it. I've got a/c and p/s belt on. 15k miles on spark plugs checked before dyno runs... seemed a bit too white... running lean I thought?

I noticed something weird around 6.5k rpm on the dyno graph... like it was misfiring or something... but it didn't sound like that, and I got no codes. It did this on each run about the same rpm.

jeez, what do you redline @? i guess i just never knew neons redlined above 7k. maybe that's just the ecu upgrade.

not sure about the 6.5k rpms. otherwise, good job with the new install.

Redline with the DOHC Mopar ECU is 7.5k rpm... heck, that's nothing.
When I go with stand-alone EMS, it'll probably be around 8500rpm!

Better upgrade cams before that, or you'll just be making no power and alot of engine noise and wear ~

Actually, that's a gain of about 40whp from stock.

Not everyone is into turbo cars...

As for cams, I'll be getting Crane #18 cams. 223' duration at 1mm lift.

04srt4silver: Why spend $1k on engine mods? Cause it's fun!

Stock DOHC Neons are around 100-120whp. Depending on miles and how tuned their cams came from the factory.

Yeah... get camshaft, adjustable cam gear, lot's of head work, Pt valve train, oversize valves, valve springs, and extrude the intake manifold. Yeah my car was only making 131 whp at 135 ft/lbs... until my car started making a knocking noise. I did not make as much hp because I did not have camshaft, adj cam gear, oversize valves, and intake work. Oh well... getting any SRT-4 anyway... enough playing with N/A... too hard to make enough hp.
