Default New driving fines in WA State?

Can anyone confirm if the following are BS? I thought the cell phone ban wasn't until January 1, 2008.

New Driving Fines EFFECTIVE JULY 1st, 2007

1. Carpool lane - 1st time $1068.50 starting 7/1/07 (The $271 posted on the highway is old). Don't do it again because 2nd time is going to be double. 3rd time triple, and 4th time license suspended.

2. Incorrect lane change - $380. Don't cross the lane on solid lines or intersections.

3. Block intersection - $485

4. Driving on the shoulder - $450

5. Cell phone use in the construction zone. - Double fine as of 07/01/07.
Cell phone use must be "hands free" while driving.

6. Passengers over 18 not in their seatbelts - both passengers and drivers get tickets .

7. Speeders can only drive 3 miles above the limit.

8. DUI = JAIL (Stays on your driving record for 10 years!)

9. As of 07/01/07 cell phone use must be "hands free" while driving.
Ticket is $285. They will be looking for this like crazy - easy money for police department.

I knew that cell phone thing was BS. Found this article. The cell phone ban isn't until JULY 2008, and the fine will be $101 not $285. Any of the other fines listed BS?

Somebody at my Mom's work forwarded that to her. What a wang. I did however read today that in Virginia various traffic fines are going up and can top out at $3,000!

I thought limit means limit. It's like people saying I'm gonna give it 120%. That's Douche language.

cops in Oregon are always on their cell phones.... I don't think I have seen one in the past month without his hand glued to his face.

Cops need to start cracking down on people not using their turn signals. I think people who do use them are officially in the minority. If I get cut off by one more assclown without a turn signal, I'm going to run their ass off the road.

Sounds like you're offering the cheese with that cheesy comment. From the sounds of it, VA has some shitty cheese.

I think the police should enforce peoples bs irritations, now that's a really good way to spend our tax dollars!

No, seriously though, it's bs that police are speed nazi's. Here a speed trap, there a speed trap everywhere a speed trap.

If I was an officer of the law, I would be fired so quickly. I would be like, "Sir, I pulled you over because you were traveling at 100mph, I will let you go because I do it all the time and it's really not THAT big of a deal." "Just keep it down next time, ok?"

Why don't they just placed dummy cop cars in high fatality areas? It would slow me down, without all the punishment.

Sincerely the man who has 4 speeding tickets for 10 over, and was going 10 over.
