Default The Neon is totalled.

Well, the Neon will never see pavement again.

A high horsepower car is very dangerous, the car has a mind of it's own. I barely touched the brakes in a corner and the rear end became really loose and shot me into the ditch. The car has done this to me before, but the speed I was going didn't allow me to control it fast enough. I always knew this car was very dangerous. I was always uneasy when others drove it. At one minute the car was confidence inspiring, the next it was outta control!

I hurt pretty good, thankfully I am young and my wounds will heal. I got a concussion, some pretty good cuts on my ear and head and some cracked ribs, but drugs are gooooood!

So, this is also a feeler post to see about the possiblity of buying the car back and selling for parts. Obviously, most exterior pieces are no good, but the motor was still running upside down. Intake, exhaust and stage 3 kit look to be in good shape. Tires look like they will be fine and only 1 rim is a little chunked. I will also be putting up my gauges, SAFC and random other stuff that we already got out of the car in the for sale section soon.

I will also put up some daylight pictures, once I get them off the camera.

Wow...that's really bad. Glad to see you came out of it relatively ok (especially for how bad the car is). That'll happen in these cars when you brake/throttle lift in a corner.

I'm interested to hear more about what you'll be selling off the car.

holy shit... glad to hear your ok, I hear ya on the ass end wanting to come around you. When I used to drive my car in the winter time lift off oversteer in coners was insanly easy to do. Hope everything goes well with you and the car.

Seeing your car roll end over end in my rear view mirror goes right up there with the worst things I have seen in my life. As I was running back up to your car, I honestly didnt think you were going to walk away. I hope everything works out chris.

Damn man, that really sucks.

I am glad I made it out of owning the SRT-4....... There were times driving down the road when I looked through the car and thought "If I die young, it'll be in this"............... Shit yesterday on those twisty mountain roads I puckered up a few times.

Skittle, good meeting you yesterday. Your car was packed.

I'm very sorry to hear about the car. I know how it feels. I crashed my pride and joy last jan. Car life has never been the same. I'm glad your ok. Good to hear that at least 1 srt4 owner comes out of those cars ok. Let us know about parts. I think we will all love to help you out. Would be nice to keep your car alive in some of ours.

Talking HPDE May have saved this SRT

Wow, first glad your OK. But you have gone the way most have driving the SRT. For those of you who think they know how to drive fast next spring there will be another HPDE = High Performance Drivers Education Day for all to attend. For only $150.00 you will learn to drive your SRT at high speeds and learn what characteristics are cars have on a closed course with a professional driving instructor. Hotness not flamming ya but go to the school the Goat must live, would like to see you sign up.

I am definately planning on it! In my defense the car was possessed by demons, hense why it was soooo fast.

3 times previously that rear end has come around on me. I did a second gear pull in a parking lot once and did a 180 just by letting off the gas. Everyone was convinced that I used the e-brake. 99% of the time the car was sticky but given the right conditions it would slide around like butter. At 100+, it's very difficult to correct in time, and in this situation I am glad I didn't, as I would have likely ended up in the other ditch, but I would have had company if I did.

Those pics are hardcore. Now for parting out your ride

If you still had the stock spoiler on, it looks like this might just be the first spoiler to be damaged in a crash in an srt4
