Thats my honest idea. You can do it yourself and save tones of money. Then save up for one of our dyno days later on sometime and set it to 100% the perfect A/F

You forgot knock and timing.....A way to datalog would be nice too. Hard to constantly watch the gauge and the road at the same time and then try to figure out at which RPM you need to adjust fuel at....

Brian when you get a safc and try it yourself then I'll trust where your coming from. Knock and timing is great to know. But only if your a retard and like to have your a/f at 12.6+ and have to be worried about that. Keep your shit at a safe a/f and boost. UNTIL the dyno tune.

Or you know what..fuck it...Just go take the shit and have someone do it..What am I saying it aint my car or money.

This is why we are tuning his car for him. We are using our new FTM that was desiged for the SRT4. Jerry has one in his car its working great.

The knock and timing are huge and we watch those ever time as well as calculated EGT's. I will do basic street tuning with car but nothing to deep because of the lacking wideband. The dyno will tell us all we have to know and then we will give him a safe tune.

You can have knock and the AFR's can still be super safe. You have to know what you are doing before you just say do it, but what do I know..........

425 WHP and 12.2 in the 1/4 mile stock head, block and BS still on the car.

And you have done what? I guess that is what I was getting at... why would he listen to you when you don't have numbers or dyno results from your great tuning abilities. If I am correct you still in the 15's or 16's for the 1/4 mile correct?

We had our car into the 13's 2 years ago, now we are into the 12's soon to be the 11's with the little time I have to go to the track I have to get what I can. Kyle drove the car last time it was at the track and he made 12.6 at 118 MPH. The car is slipping the clutch when you WOT shift now and Jerry ran Kyle on the freeway. Kyle beat Jerry ever time and Jerry was spraying with more mods on his car now then he has ever had. Seems that my wifes care is running very well now with the stage 3 SST on it. More mods to come for her car very soon.

chill out dude. If John hadn't said it I was going to. There is way more to tuning than just dialing in a decent AFR. Giving someone an SAFC and telling them to just go tune it is like giving a 3y/o a loaded weapon. Generally not a good idea, now I'm sure there are some 3y/o's who can shoot better than I can, but generally a bad idea.

As for blown motors, a good tune dosn't mean shit if you shift from 3rd to 2nd at wot, or are pushing more boost than a stock block should ever attempt, or lots of other reasons. I don't think that John was attacking you personally, he was just pointing out that someone who really dosn't know what they are talking about shouldn't be trying to teach others how to do something. This isn't a Honda community.
