If anyone here knows what they are doing and wants to make some cash i could just get someone to do the prep work and i can get it sprayed on post for about 150 base/clear
Ok, I'm done, my bad. So when you say prep work, are you referring to sanding it down and adding primer? That's the easy part. Well, tedious, but thoughtless.... And the spraying on post: Military colors? I imagine if you threw a nice glossy clear coat over that jungle green it might turn out nice...
Well there is a dent in the rear quarter panel but i can get that done at a shop if you guys cant do it... its along the body line so its going to suck. But really all i need done is the entire car sanded and primered so I can get it sprayed. The door jambs and stuff do not need to be done. This is something ive never done before so I dont want to start sanding the car myself.
So you want a complete? Did you say you want to primer the whole car? Primer has the natural ability to shrink. And to the untrained eye it looks ok. But to me it looks horrible. Paint will stick to your topcoat just fine on your car's body with scuffing/fine sanding. Prime only the areas that filler was used. Paint is coming off your bumpers cause some asshat had it repainted but prepped it wrong on the plastics. You're looking at a lot of R&I for a complete.
What's with the two-tone?
BTW, awesome deal on a paint job per your first post = shitty paint job. Sorry but it's the truth.

I know its going to take 4 grand to get something nice but id like to try and just get the car all black for about 1 grand or so and then put some gold stripes on it to match the wheels.
the guy i bought the car from painted it in his garage and its pretty crappy and the car wash is chipping paint off of the front bumper.
